Jesus, that's so demented. Tells you a whole lot about Musk's attitude towards labor.

To think they'd ship in sub-contracted canvassers without first telling them whom they'd be campaigning for is FUBAR level stuff.

Musk is a massive POS. I wish he hadn't bought Twitter because I still use it in spite of him and all of the scumbag MAGAs crawling all over X.

These kinds of articles are fascinating in how they illustrate America has all kinds of demographic niches that get overlooked.

It would be pretty cool if it is Puerto Ricans and Latter Day Saints who put Harris over the top.

It is partially a professional interest in that Twitter and LinkedIn are the best platforms for some other preoccupations of mine. I may wait to see if Trump's defeat will tone down the rabid nonsense over there. Musk won't become any less of a terrible person though.

https://theatlantavoice.com/georgia-black-voters-record-turnout/

Nearly 873,000 Black Georgians voted before Election Day, according to data from the Secretary of State’s Office.

[There have been 3.2 million votes cast thus far, according to election data](https://sos.ga.gov/page/election-data-hub-turnout) from the Georgia Secretary of State’s Office. In comparison to the first 16 days of early voting in 2016 (1.3 million voters) and 2020 (2.1 million voters), this year’s efforts dwarf any other records that were previously set.

As to be expected, the majority of the votes come from metro Atlanta where the majority of the state’s voters reside, but there have also been record-breaking turnouts in smaller and mid-sized counties up and down the state.

Great move by that doddering old idiot Biden to steal the moral high ground away from his Vice President's campaign for president.

As to be expected, the majority of the votes come from metro Atlanta where the majority of the state’s voters reside, but there have also been record-breaking turnouts in smaller and mid-sized counties up and down the state.

The SoS for GA website is actually really informative

There were 4,999,960 total votes in Georgia in 2020 (let's just say 5 million lol), currently 3,484,881 early votes, which is 69.7% of total turnout with just under a week to go. However, only 4,013,155 of those voted early in 2020, so the early turnout is already 86.8% of what it was in 2020 (early turnout numbers from here: https://electproject.github.io/Early-Vote-2020G/GA.html)

Here's the rub: the current ethnicity breakdown is 57.1% white:25.1% black, 2020 early voting was 56.5% white:27.7% black

Gender split was women 55.2%:men 42.9% (1.9% unknown), is today women 55.9%:men 43.9% (0.2% unknown)

I have to do math for all the age ranges, and that's too much work, but roughly older people are coming out more than they did in 2020, and younger people are coming out slightly less. However, this is just as a percentage of turnout, it's not that young people are coming out less, I think they're about in line with their 2020 turnout, it's just older people are turning out more which dilutes the youth's vote share

So it's not all fantastic news for Dems, as a lot of what's driving turnout is likely Republicans. However, I will note, exit polling shows that the Republicans turning out to early vote are people who voted in 2020, whether early or on election day, meaning it's not really showing Republican enthusiasm, but more so cannibalizing the Republican election day advantage

In any event, higher turnout is pretty much universally a good sign for Dems. I still stand by my prediction that both sides are gonna gain a state they lost in 2020, and it's gonna be NC for the Dems and GA for Republicans just off my gut feeling.

Ok it's about way past time for the DNC to tell Bill to sit things out, and it's not only because of this.
