Corey Benjamin, famous for playing for the Bulls and getting destroyed by a retired Michael Jordan one on one.

Damn, never thought I would see Bill Cartwright as a podcast host. Thanks for posting.

Oh yeah, he has had a podcast for a while. He doesn't really do thumbnails or anything, so the algorithm dislikes him. But he's a good listener and has some oldheads from his playing and coaching days if you're interested. Maybe not the first former bulls and NBA players I'd want to hear from but enjoy;

Also Stacey had a good recent one with John Salley one around the Bulls Ring of Honor ceremony. Would have enjoyed him interviewing Luc Longley who he was traded for, but John Salley is always a good interview. It starts 32 minutes in.

He had another good appearance on All the Smoke a while back too.

Finally, there's another recent one with Corey Brewer if you want to hear more about his era of the Bulls. His interview starts at 28 minutes in.

Got a recent Rodman interview; it treads a bit of the same material as we probably all know well -- at least from the Last Dance. Still though; seems like a decently well put together person at this point.

Image

Bonus material, Shaq and Dirk talking about what a walking disaster he was at the end of his career. Aloof, exercising hard, and smelling like garbage while consummately slaying baddies.

Couple fluff appearances for Scottie Pippen in Aussie media.

I am...so tired of the Bulls franchise this season. I just hope he got a media coach over the last year and goes out there with some dignity. Not only have we trotted out a mediocre product on court, but the inaugural ring of honor was remembered only for making Jerry Krause widow weep, and we're at the risk of having the dynasty years and our franchise further pissed on.

Focus on his and his teammates' achievement and greatness and focus on the positives. Focus on his own career. Obviously I loved Pip as a player, but I also greatly enjoyed him on ESPN when he was on the Jump. He's either going to slightly rehabilitate his reputation or just become more and more ostracized by main stream sports media, talking heads, social media influencers, and sponsors; while making the franchise look like more of a joke in the process. You see guys like James Worthy and even Dennis Rodman just looking like pure class when they make media experiences, I hope Pip follows suit.

Here he is on some morning talk show.

Here he is in a cringy sketch with some Southern hemisphere bogan flavor James Cordon.

Yeah, somebody hired a media coach. It's Pippen, Scottie Pippen hired a media coach.

Bulls legend, Lawrence Funderburke is a huge proponent for social justice. Good on him I say, good on him.

He even did a TED talk a while back.

Whatever happened to the Last Dance media tour Pippen Grant and Longley did? I never saw any media reports of the aftermath. They must have not said anything controversial

Up in Smoke has a really cool interview with NBA All-Star and Former Bull's man in the middle, Brad Miller. Didn't expect it, I didn't think he was in cahoots with these guys; but it's a fun interview.

Image

Go to 38:31 where he gushes about DRose.

I feel like he imbibed a king's ransom of bourbon, but it's amazing. He said his dream deer hunting team is Kirk Hinrich and Joakim Noah.

Thought this tidbit with John Salley was pretty interesting. Said the Bulls were splashy spenders in the 90s as far as staff and accommodations go:

Happy to open the floodgates for DRose interviews since his playing career is over.

Pippen's twitter account has gotten pretty painful, basically him shilling crypto. A rugpull and fraud allegations seem inevitable.

Maybe, maybe not. I think he has a weed thing, he's got that bourbon. He's like the Magic Johnson of questionable vice business.

Anyway; here is Ron Harper. Amusing story about trash talking with Jordan when Harp was in Cleveland.

Here's a recent Tyrus Thomas one:

Image

If you didn't see it on the previous page, it's really really cool to see the guy now that he's truly an adult. Super introspective and present; his work and philosophy seems way more important off the court -- within the world of charity and self-help. I know I always thought about him as super immature here, but I had no idea during his time with the Bulls, he would constantly go to more high risk areas, get heavily involved with local high schools and really try to involve people like Michael Wilbon. Like Joakim Noah, he seems like he has a giant heart. Seems that he's a life coach now.

When you see other 'busts' like Michael Beasley or Kwame Brown, they are just bitter and remain personally unaccountable. So, so rad to see Tyrus out there having long accepted his past's shortcomings and making a difference.

Here's another one in case anybody was wondering how Keith Bogans is doing these days.

Image

Another one that's dropped recently is Joakim Noah on Young Man and the Three; starts at 18:34. Notable talk is Noah's input on load management on players like Joel Embiid, and Noah's subtle regret that he didn't load manage more. Also, he's becoming the regular host one day a week going forward. Hopefully he brings in some of the oldheads.

Really great watch with Luol Deng. He’s done a lot of philanthropy/humanitarian focused interviews with larger news outlets, especially here in the UK; but it’s great to see a true old head on a basketball focused podcast.

Just an incredible story and a cool guy.

I’ll never forget being manager for my boarding school’s basketball team and seeing Luol Deng and Charlie Villanueva tear us all sorts of new buttholes in their last home game as seniors. I have mental pictures burned in of my friends getting dunked on over and over. Joakim Noah was in the same conference at Lawrenceville.

Scottie sounding present and not drunk/high with a pretty fair bit of charisma. Interviewer sucks, hasn’t done much if any research so not much talk about basketball from a technical standpoint. Lots and lots and lots of trying to bait Pippen into sound bites.
