You just mad Yankees blew that fifth inning.

I am. But what made it worse was the constant barrage of commercials about Latinos being vermin rapists and transgender prison surgeries.

Literal brain rot

Wow The Economist, which I'd grade pretty hard center-right as a financial publication, just endorsed Kamala

A second Trump term comes with unacceptable risks

https://www.economist.com/leaders/2024/10/31/a-second-trump-term-comes-with-unacceptable-risks

By making Mr Trump leader of the free world, Americans would be gambling with the economy, the rule of law and international peace. We cannot quantify the chance that something will go badly wrong: nobody can. But we believe voters who minimise it are deluding themselves.

The case against Mr Trump begins with his policies. In 2016 the Republican platform was still caught between the Mitt Romney party and the Trump party. Today’s version is more extreme. Mr Trump favours a 20% tariff on all imports and has talked of charging over 200% or even 500% on cars from Mexico. He proposes to deport millions of irregular immigrants, many with jobs and American children. He would extend tax cuts even though the budget deficit is at a level usually seen only during war or recession, suggesting a blithe indifference to sound fiscal management.

The risks for domestic and foreign policy are amplified by the last big difference between Mr Trump’s first term and a possible second one: he would be less constrained. The president who mused about firing missiles at drug labs in Mexico was held back by the people and institutions around him. Since then the Republican Party has organised itself around fealty to Mr Trump. Friendly think-tanks have vetted lists of loyal people to serve in the next administration. The Supreme Court has weakened the checks on presidents by ruling that they cannot be prosecuted for official acts.

If external constraints are looser, much more will depend on Mr Trump’s character. Given his unrepentant contempt for the constitution after losing the election in 2020, it is hard to be optimistic. Half his former cabinet members have refused to endorse him. The most senior Republican senator describes him as a “despicable human being”. Both his former chief-of-staff and former head of the joint chiefs call him a fascist. If you were interviewing a job applicant, you would not brush off such character references.

Yep. I can even ignore the last paragraph. What I'm mostly worried about is what he plans to do to the economy (I disagree with what he wants to do).

The co-chair of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s transition team promoted the debunked theory that vaccines cause autism in a CNN interview Wednesday. He also said Trump ally Robert F. Kennedy Jr., hopes to get “data” through a Trump administration to have vaccines pulled “off the market.”

Howard Lutnick, the billionaire CEO of investment bank Cantor Fitzgerald and a longtime friend of Trump’s, told the network’s Kaitlan Collins that vaccines are “not proven” to be safe. Lutnick said he’d recently been schooled on vaccines by Kennedy, the failed independent presidential candidate and anti-vaxxer who has endorsed Trump.

https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4963765-trump-women-protector-harris/

Vice President Harris slammed former President Trump for saying at a rally on Wednesday that he would be women’s “protector,” a phrase he used two months ago and again this week at a rally in Wisconsin.

She addressed specifically Trump’s claim that his advisers had counseled him against describing himself a “protector” for women and he said “I’m going to do it whether the women like it or not. I’m going to protect them.”

“It actually is, I think, very offensive to women in terms of not understanding their agency, their authority, their right and their ability to make decisions about their own lives, including their own bodies,” Harris told reporters Thursday. “And this is just the latest on a series of reveals by the former president on how he thinks about women and their agency.”

She added, “whether he has said, as he has, that women should be punished for their choices, whether he has talked about his pride is taking away a fundamental right of women, whether it be how he has actually created a situation in America where one in three women lives in a Trump abortion ban state.”

Rapists don't understand agency or consent so...

Votes from who?

I guarantee anyone offended by this weren't voting for Harris to begin with.

Trump calls Latinos vermin literally every week yet I don't hear any of this talk when he does it. It's always crickets.

The issue isn’t that Trump does the same things and worse, it’s that the Democrats held themselves to a higher standard. There are non-Democratic voters that will vote for Harris because they don’t say the divisive things Trump and team would say. Biden messed up and caused Harris to go into damage control.

Inflation has dropped to 2.1%

In this essay, I will explain why this is bad for Harris...

I just got back from dropping off my mail-in ballot for Harris/Walz.

Let's get them over the line.

The Harris campaign has been trying to sideline mush brain Biden. Now we know why. Bill Clinton isn't helping things out much either. I'm sure it must be difficult for Kamala to keep all these huge egos in check.

Seeing that Joe doesn't have the balls to slap Bibi in his mouth i guess the Israeli people will need to pull the plug on this themselves. :nonono:

If Iran wait until after the January, Trump could be the returning POTUS and give Israel more backing.

Iran just needs to go in for the killshot here. No more games. They can end this now. The last attack was only 180 missiles. And it's estimated that Iran has +3,000. Many of them are hypersonic missiles.

USA already gave Israel a THAAD missiles defense. Israel asked for 2. Just for reference, USA only has 7 total. So maybe these things can stop a lot.

If Iran manage to take out Bibi, this will all be over. And it will also secure W for Kamala-Walz in the election. The lunatics still wanting to go to war in the Middle East will be dead in 10-15 years anyways. They are used to always getting their way, but it's time for them to move on. It's long overdue to finally think about the citizens that are going to inherit this country.
