Warriors podcasts?

Post#1 » by cladden » Thu Oct 31, 2024 6:24 am

So I used to listen to Warriors Plus Minus which appears to either have been retired or put on hold. I see there are some other ones available when I search around. Any of y'all able to vouch for any of them?

Warriors Huddle, Warriors Wrap Up, Warriors Today, there's an official one called Golden State Warriors

All 82 should come back soon after the iron out the legal issues due to TK leaving the athletic.

Light years is another one, if you like to hear to fans talk about the dubs.

The new locked on has a new host and that isn't bad either.

But all 82 is by far the best.

^concerning the new Locked On host, any host would be better than the previous guy.

MT II was on the TK Show last week, and they did some Warriors talk. They also mentioned they have the frameworks of an agreement to get Plus Minus back on.

No idea if he got fired or quit. I wouldn't be surprised if he got fired because he was blasting that Wiggins in drug rehab story for a while. I think he started his own pod.

He had the worst voice for podcasting, did no research, was almost proud of not using his press credentials while living in Santa Cruz, and continuously broadcast the worst rumors he could find. I was thrilled when they let him go. He had some great guests fairly regularly and the new locked on hosts seems unable to book anyone to come on.

Dunc'dOn had Slater yesterday and are doing the dubs this week so that's an interesting view from a less local perspective (nate is from the bay and the dubs are his local team but he's a national nba podcaster).

New Locked On seems to have two post game shows spamming my podcast feed, one yellow and one blue icon. One's decent, one's not, and I can never remember which is which, it's weird.

I think one is a "postcast" where they have the post game recap, almost immediately, and it's with a different host. Unless you mean it's still showing the old host's new podcast, "golden daze," under the locked on feed.

They're all pretty bad. Light Years is the most entertaining, so I still listen to it.

Funny story, back in like 2015 or 2016 Sam and I actually met up to record a couple of podcast episodes. They were terrible lol. Shortly after he started doing Light Years. lol Maybe I'll try to see if I can dig up those lost episodes. Can't even remember if we tried to put them on Apple.

They got incredibly dull and lazy the last few years, after 22'. Would just kinda have some, miss some, zero consistency. Lazy overviews after games as well. Their pod fell off when beforehand it was the best in the game for Warriors content.

Don’t think I could listen to a podcast dedicated to one team, there’s not that much to talk about really. Isola and Scalabrine on Sirius is what’s up
