But I’d like to see a good case that he didn’t peak higher than any other QB ever. And that can’t really ever be taken from him.

Not sure how peak is defined, but Dan Marino had the better start to his career, especially considering the era.

But as has been established in another thread, Dan Marino is a loser who is no different from Ryan Leaf.

Marino was passing for 5000 yards when most were struggling to pass for 4000.

The Chiefs definitely don't get enough credit for their amazing defense. They were arguably the best defense in the NFL last season and still top-5ish this season.

In the Super Bowl they held the 9ers to 22 points, and the 9ers were the 2nd highest scoring offense in the NFL. Mahomes doesn't win a ring without that defense.


Too many fans can only see the QB, but that said, Mahomes is definitely an amazing QB who can make all the throws.

Chris Jones would be the NFL MVP leader if he wasn't a DT.

Dak was awful vs the Lions, and I suspect he will also struggle hard against the 49ers.

But the #1 problem in Dallas right now is Mike Zimmer.

Even if the Dak throws 6 TDs vs the Lions we still lose the game.

Zimmer is a big part of the problem for sure but he’s by far from being the worst problem. There is enough blame to go around for everyone.

He's #1 for me. I mean, Dallas has the worst defense in the NFL, so....yeah

I will say that now injury can be used as an excuse to some degree. Parsons and Lawrence being out was definitely felt. Goff had all day back there. But still, we have the worst defense in the NFL and the biggest change was him.

Of course he is. Its always like that with you. Put the focus on anyone but your boy. At least Zimmer has some excuse here with all the injuries and players being out. Dak on the other hand can't move the chains half the time. Too many 3 and outs. Throwing 2 int's a game. More if the opposing team wouldn't drop them. Then when we do get to the red zone, its field goal, field goal, field goal. What a bang for the buck at 60 mill per year.

The smart thing would be to draft DL/OL with their first couple of picks and then a RB in the 3rd or 4th round. Jerry will overdraft a RB though and likely take Ashton Jeanty with a top 10 pick.

Aren't they starting a couple of young linemen on the OL this year?

So maybe they get some improvement there.

What about LBs, they've given up some big rushing games because they've been undersized in the box at times.
