Should have drafted Penny over Kidd. He's a more dynamic scorer which is probably the most valuable trait in shallow pools. Opted for Kidd cause I was targeting Drazen and I needed a POA defender. Oh well. Mikal is a binkie of mine. Happy he was still on the board.

I genuinely consider Drazen the most underrated player in our games. I have him in the same tier with Reggie, Manu, Klay, Ray and Eddie Jones (in random order). For instance, I consider him better than Reggie. Both are elite shooters and below-average defenders, but Drazen is comfortably better at creating his own shot off the dribble. Likewise, I'd rank him ahead of Klay and EJ. Thing is, 2-way wing shooters fit with everybody, whereas Drazen needs to be paired with a POA defender. I guess this is part of the reason he's usually overlooked. Playing only 4 seasons in the NBA doesn't help his case either. Still, I think he's massively underrated.

I don’t think your list covers round 5, so you’re up

He’s less known. In addition each of guys you mention are either cheaper, better defensively, or shoot threes at a higher volume. Most of them have multiple of those qualities on him. And given all of these guys are second option types (third in the case of EJ or arguably Klay), those things are all at a particular premium.

You might be right about him. But I’m not sure there are situations I’d take him over those guys. I’ve taken him a few times and never had much success.

I agree with some of your assessment of Drazen.

Although he was a much better defender than you are giving him credit for. He used to seek out guarding MJ and Drexler and the best of the SGs back then. He always wamted that matchup and honestly did quite well considering. I have him higher than reggie and probably om par with manu taking intonconsideration that Manu had timmy and bowen playing defense with him and Drazen had no one of note.

I dunno if it’s a shift in how we build teams or just a product of the pools we have been using but I feel like there’s been a notable shift towards bigger lineups.

I prefer smaller lineups but when everyone else has bigger ones it’s harder to justify.
