The NBA rookie class is off to the worst start in league history

https://sports.yahoo.com/the-nba-rookie-class-is-off-to-the-worst-start-in-league-history-163620762.html

You know about the Freshman 15, when first-year college students inevitably put on 15 pounds from partying and pizza.

Let me introduce you to the other Freshman 15. Not one rookie has scored 15 points in a game this season. Nada.

That's the whole premise of this article.

Who's going to be the first rook with 15?

Carrington had 16/6/6 last night and leads all rookies in scoring.

Clingon per minute has been tremendous. His stamina is just trash and he picks up silly rookie fouls. But he is impactful when on the floor.

The 3 he hit agains LAC looked very smooth as well.

12.8mpg, 4.8ppg, 5.8rpg, 1.8bpg

Kid has game changing defensive potential, looks like an elite rebounder and if he can hit a 3 he basically is a archetypical 3/D center.

Risacher plays for ATL... we drafted Sarr who is pretty raw offensively but is already 4th in the league in blocks.

Cody Williams is not even close to ready for the NBA and I'm not sure why the Jazz have him in the main roster instead of the G-League.

Ryan Dunn's first week of NBA action couldn't have gone any better. He keeps this up, he will run away with ROY. Just because he's doing it on both ends.

Guy was a statistical monster defensively, but his offense at Virginia was offensive. He's only 0.3 ppg away from equaling his average as a sophomore in college, which is nuts.

Some praise should go to the Wizards for starting 3 rookies and a young 2nd yr Bilal together. Yes, there will be growing pains but it is possible. More teams should be aggressive. Too many overrated and overpaid bums in this league.

I agree, but it's all the more astonishing that krs tj3 Wizards (easily a bottom 3 worst run franchise in my life time) doing it.

Its most likely more of a case of luck than design, but the early returns are paying dividends.

So far this class has been horrible, particularly at the top IMO.

But this shouldn't be a surprise as this has been a concern since the beginning.

He's looked soo bad . The game I watched he missed every shot, was getting pushed around, and was lackluster on defense.

This draft class overall hasn't performed as well in the regular season thus far but you also have guys like Kel’el Ware that aren’t seeing minutes either.

What’s going on with Reed Sheppard? Everyone and their mom was hyping him up crazy after the summer league.

I’m definitely not trying to throw his name out there for ROTY consideration lol but Jamal Shead is VERY quickly becoming a fan favourite in TO. He’s actually an incredible defender for his size and just fantastic hustle, he reminds me of a smaller Tony Allen with more floor generalship. I’m not saying that like he’s better than Allen lol TA’s added height/length makes him likely even better defensively. But when you think of a “dog” in your rotation, Shead has been one of those.

Houston is trying to win games and Reed is getting pretty low bench minutes, often less than 10 per game. Hard to judge a rookie off that kind of playing time.
