But also, why are people claiming Banchero will be out all year, lol? He'll be back, step away from the ledge.

Agreeing with eyriq: Magic could/should be around .500 with Banchero out.

Scoop for Coop?

Play bad for Flagg?

This trade wasn't some conspiracy - it was just a GM wanting AD bad enough where in most people's eyes he overpaid by a long shot to get him.

This is beyond terrible for Paolo who was looking like an ALL NBA season

But man our offense is going to look beyond terrible.

On the bright side, Franz will have to step up and we will see just how good he can be and we will probably be the best defensive team in the league

Teams with a max guy, a $30m guy, a $22m UFA, two recent lottery picks, and a handful of guys around the MLE have shouldn’t be talking about tanking - unless they’ve invested poorly or they do a sell off.

We are not paying a max guy or a $30m guy this season.

Good point. We're the 27th in salaries this season.

Probably out for calendar year, 2024?

Just like reports say in early April "done for a season" than you figure he is out for remaining 3 games

Marcus Smart had a similar injury in April, 2019 and took less than a month to recover. Vooch was involved in that one, too. That was considered ahead of schedule and was during the playoffs, so perhaps a bit forced.

Orlando needed a SF, and now needs a combo-forward. Anthony needs to be shipped for a P.J. Tucker, Grant Williams, Kyle Kuzma, Dorian Finney-Smith, or my new favorite: Tari Eason. Or someone like that.

To Eason, the Rockets could use PG depth and are overloaded in bigs. It's an interesting trade. Obviously the Magic would need to add a Houstan-type and absorb a "bad" contract. ?Jae'Sean Tate?

Anthony and the lowest FRP should get Tucker or Finney-Smith.

In the end, when its Tucker, I am ok with that.

All these posts on "Black needs to step up as a starter". "Bitadze/M-Wagner will start"? etc. make no sense to me.

Orlando will try to win so the Magic will start its best available PF: Issac.

The rotational depth chart needs to be (until Anthony is traded):

Suggs/Black
Caldwell-Pope/Howard
F-Wagner/Harris
Isaac/M-Wagner
Carter/Bitadze

With spot minutes to the other four. I see no other path forward without a trade. Pun intended.

Black will start IMO. Suggs/KCP/Black/Franz/WCJ with Black/Suggs ball-handling duties. Can't just take away a big hub in Paolo and have Suggs/Franz as the only people able to handle the ball.

Isaac's minutes are too weird to be thrust into a starter as well. WCJ and him are both kinda clunky playing together as they are both aren't reliable consistent post players, and that would also force Moe-Goga together, which is also weird as Moe can't space the floor well and Goga plays inside. Just weird big combos.

Prob something like:

Suggs/Cole (maybe or Jett)
KCP/Harris
Black/TDS or Houstan
Franz/Isaac
WCJ/Moe

Spot Goga minutes mixed in.

Also, no way is PJ Tucker worth a first and Cole. Would rather just package that for someone else if we're doing panic trades.

Paolo (hopefully) is only gone about 1/3rd of the season.

Team would have to have Franz/Suggs/Isaac out as well to be truly as bad as some people think for even a chance at Flagg.

We're not doing that for a 3-8% chance of a guy we already have our best positions in.

That will probably be the lineup unless they start Moe.

Mosely had a talk with Cole that he was out of the rotation. Does Paolo’s injury bring him back? I think he is out.

Suggs / Black / Cole / Corey
KCP / Jett
Franz / Harris / Caleb
Open / JI / TDS
WCJ / Moe / Goga
