If he had traded Bruce Brown to NYK for the 25th pick (assume the deal was on the table) we could also have had Ryan Dunn, them it would be a perfect draft

Trading Pascal for 2 picks in 2024 (and 1 in 2026), was out of "desperation"

but, trading for a Third 2024 1st rounder, while possibly holding onto our own first round pick may have set off some alarm bells for other teams scouts, and flipped this draft on his head. Then, we get none of the four draftees that we wanted.

This rookie class is looking just as bad as advertised, but hard not to be pleased with the early returns on the rookies we have. We have 3 of them performing as adequate rotation players at the moment.

Call me crazy but when you have proven to be one of the best at something (drafting), you probably shouldn't be doing things that hamper that (trading draft picks).

If Masai winds up with 3 genuine rotation players (out of Jakobe/Shead/Mogbo/Battle/Chomche) in this terrible draft that should solidify him as the best at the draft of any GM in recent history.

He had undoubtedly the best decade of drafting from 2010-2020 when you include his Denver drafts where he took Faried and Fournier with the 22nd and 20th picks.

I mean we won a championship by doing that.
