On a side note, if MIL implodes, how about Mitch for Bobby Portis Jr to bolster our bench?
Most teams dont have a bench of all stars on the 2nd unit. Payne is a legit ball handler. As long as he doesn't chuck way too much he should be fine in that role. He is a much better defender than Kolek right now. And yes he should be deferring to Duece more when they are on the floor together.

So Tobias Harris, Timmy Hardaway, and Black Evan Fournier (Malik Beasley) make them good?

You raise a good point. I'm not sure if the metrics match the eye test but I've seen Payne make multiple good defensive plays so far. He gets his hands dirty out there
I'm not a fan of the chucking, but he does have his merits.
Nowhere close. The Frankfurters were board sanctionedrobillionaire wrote:TheGreenArrow wrote:Capn'O wrote:

On one hand Tobias isn't very good, on the other hand he's averaging 12ppg 8rpg, while Mitch is averaging 0ppg and 0rpg.
