It doesn't if he isn't a great rebounder or particularly strong defender yet. Which is fine since he's a rookie.

Black has been playing well. I don't know what to tell you other than that.

Black also has decent size and mimics another ball-handler that we're losing in Paolo.

Maybe there.. just aren't great options when 3 rotational big men are out.

Wendell is another one who absolutely did not deserve an extension. This is his fifth year here and he's never played more than 62 games in a season. Welt loves guys who never play.
