All right I'm done for the night, good night. Bless your SOUL if you're watching this one til the end.

p.s. can't believe the betting line for this game was only CLE -7.5; that seemed like a gimme even before the game started to me.

There’s going to be a learning curve to playing without Paolo.

The first step will be to put the ball in AB’s hands and live with the consequences. Let him set up Franz and Suggs (and the bigs) instead of it being the other way around.

Second step will be hitting our 3’s. 4-16 is well below our abilities. TDS and Jett have the hot hands, so let’s feed them.

It doesn’t matter if we win or lose this game. The team was thrown a curve ball and they are in lineups and roles they are not familiar with. The point here is for them to figure it out. And I am enjoying them figuring it out.

AB relentless attack at the basket and his hounding defense.
TDS calmness in play
Jalen’s really working on getting to the rime.
Franz learning to read this defense.

The score sucks but I truly do enjoy just watching these growing moments.

Gary Harris has not scored in 3.5 games.

Cold is..well, we all know.

I am completely disgusted with pope. What a terrible, terrible signing. Just a bad joke.

KCP played 12 minutes and didn't even attempt a shot, and had no stats whatsoever. How the hell are you on an NBA basketball court and you, literally, do nothing for 12 straight minutes?

It's going to be rough until PB comes back.

Oh and I'm also sick of how useless Harris is, blows my mind we brought him back. KCP and Harris are nearly useless.

There is no excuse. Franz doesn’t even get half the attention that Paolo gets. I don’t think Franz was doubled once this game. He just needs to play better.

our offense is like one player try to go one on one and the rest masquerade as shooters.....our offense just needs to stick to roles....shooters be shooters....slashers be slashers.....we got our shooters(KCP/Harris/Jett) trying to be playmakers instead of just running floppys or flares to get them to SHOOT!!!!!!

It will be an odd predicament if AB beats out KCP for a spot in the starting lineup while Paolo's out.

Yeah, we know it’s a bad game when our own analysis is focused on the other team’s offensive players lol. Brian Hill is right. These makeshift lineups are throwing the team off but the defense needs to improve.

I want a Win. But I know it is going to be hard

However, this game can show a lot of character of our young guys. I am pleased with AB but his last minutes TOs sparked CLE's run. He seems a lot more confident and creative in getting to the hoop

TDS is a surprise.

But IF IF we want to get a W, we have to do it collectively and fight for every possession. I am very happy with our defensive effort though

The issue is we have no slashing threat unless Franz is out there, and he's being mitigated by the fact that Mobley/Allen are down there. I don't think anybody else does it reliably outside of Paolo who's injured.

Annoying or not, the only reason why I said Fultz provided a different spark last year and was useful was because he would probe and dribble penetrate as a guard, even if there were 100 other reasons to not like him.

I would not do it personally.

Giannis turns 30 in a month and I'm not confident his game is going to age all that gracefully since he's not a shooter.

The moment his athleticism starts to dip, I think he's gonna be in a bad spot.

Now maybe that won't happen for 3-4 years, but it's not a risk I'd want to take.

Weltman did nothing to address this team's weaknesses this summer despite a ton of cap space and multiple young assets and draft picks to trade. Now that Paolo is down, and still no PG on the roster, we see the results of him sitting on his hands.
