This is one-way players can set themselves apart from other players. Being students of the game, gaining as much information as you can about your opponents, their plays and even their tendencies (which can come somewhat from repetition playing players).

Reminds me of Noah talking about Pau Gasol on a flight which also explains why Gasol was an all-star at age 35 in a time when the technology, medical and nutritional knowledge wasn't as good as it is now (which keeps getting better).

That’s just simply not true, we see videos of our end of bench/two way guys practicing all the time over the course of the season and gearing up for the playoffs
