OT: USA 2024 Elections Thread Part # 2 (November 5th is Election Day!)

I'm sorry but if Joe Biden went on stage and simulated giving a mic stand a terrible blow job people from all sides would be calling for him to step down. Yet Trump does it and....you guys are okay with it?

This is what I was saying the other day everyone. There's two sets of rules at play here. Biden gets slammed for standing up for Puerto Ricans, Harris gets trashed for laughing, yet Trump does all this weird, disgusting sh*t and everyone from the media to folks across the political spectrum, right to left just shrug their shoulders.

Because they all have the minds of 6th graders.

This sh*t pisses me off so much.

I was behind the curve on Joe's decline, but in hindsight Harris replacing him was absolutely necessary. Thank goodness that was done.

Joe is old, but Trump is old, crazy and in the middle of a swift decline into senile dementia.

It should be Page One every single day just like it was for six weeks when WAPO and NYT led the charge to have Biden replaced.

I've been saying the potential for surprises is strong.

Iowa has voted for the Democratic candidate for president in 6 out of the last 10 general elections including twice for Obama right before Trump won the last two.

It would not come as a shock if a fair number of Iowans are sick of Trump.

Also, Iowans do not always vote one party. They voted for Obama while electing a Republican governor.

Interesting, Thanks for sharing. I asked before about possible unpredictable wins, like Obama winning Iowa and Indiana in 2008.

Iowa has a reputation as the "most boring US state", so Kamala is in line with that. I don't mean that in a bad way. But there's an underrated amount of citizens who prefer their president to "just do their job" and not be too extreme. I think Kamala checks the boxes here, but not Trump. But my theory doesn't hold any water considering Trump still won it in his last 2 elections.

One of my other theories is Trump possibly winning New Hampshire.

I can't see any other big surprises (like Florida/Ohio flipping).

I keep looking at the EC map and don't see how this doesn't favor Trump.

On one hand, all Kamala has to do is hold the rust belt and it's game over. Easier said than done though.

All Trump has to do is hold + reclaim the south (all were won by a hair in 2020) and flip one of the rust belt stats. However, there's no path to victory for him unless he flips one of WI, MI, or PA. So I also see why many Kamala supporters on here are very confident.

If Seltzer is showing Harris up 3% in Iowa Tuesday could be a blood bath. Trump won in 2020 by 8%, even if every undecided voter goes to Trump voters Trump he only wins by 6 which means he’s dropped 2% support in a red state. If undecideds break for Harris this could be over early.
