Ernest Jones is a good player. It's definitely an upgrade. He was the Rams best LB prior to that trade.

Baker had also been a liability against the run. He had trouble identifying the right run gaps & it routinely showed up on film. Jones is much better in that regard. Which should help a ton.

So, it turns out they whiffed badly in free agency.

Laken Tomlinson has been fine. Steady, but not great by any means. But not only has the OL (RG & C) been a total mess but they also completely fumbled the LB situation.

You let Brooks leave & then decide to cut bait with both LB signings mid-season. Just a total disaster.
