You realize that he's contributing greatly to the success of Gradey Dick right?

IDK why some of you act like these guys won't develop without Yak. You don't think Scottie, Mogbo & Kelly won't be able to set Good screens and pass him the ball and be at least a reasonable replacement?! Good players careers don't just flat line because they lost a solid C lol give me a break.

we may need to settle for Maluach at this point..too many terrible/unstable teams that we may potentially surpass
Not the biggest Maluach fan, but he does fit a need

Yeah let's play Bruno at center and see how many great screens and passes he sets for Gradey.
It isn't about Gradey flat lining without poeltl. It's about how he'll get better, faster with a center that's getting him open looks.

And you don't think Scottie, Mogbo & Olynk who can ALL do those things VERY well can't at least do a reasonable job?! Again give me a break lol it's not going to "set him back" significantly by having those guys do it instead.
The only thing is it hurts the interior d and rebounding to help improve the tank. Gradey on the other hand will continue to get set up the same way offensively for the most part. You guys are far too dramatic about the level of impact he has on the offensive development of our guys.

After I saw the ceremony I could tell our guys would be energized to get this one.

Nobody sets screens like Poeltl. Not a single player in this team sets the same quality screens off ball that frees up Gradey.
You ignore the importance of very single key foundational aspect of basketball. No he wouldn't get set up the same way.

Re: Tank World Order V (Rise of the Phoenix)
I'm not that worried about the tank.
It took Boucher and Agbaji to go a combined 18/25 FG and 8/11 from 3 to barely beat a mid Kings team.
That's obviously not sustainable.
Gradey and RJ combined can score 50-60 points, but it won't really matter because ultimately we can't stop anyone, even with Yak.
Also Poetl was a -16 today.

And we all know how that went.
Los if you want to go down that path, couldn't you argue the Kawhi deal was the product of luck as well? Be careful where you tread, friend-o, be careful indeed.
Nope, not even close to the same thing. Every team in the league could’ve had Kawhi. Masai was the only one willing to give up the assets for him.
OKC got an incredible package from LAC because Kawhi wanted to pair up with Paul George. Presti’s best player, who happens to be a top 5 player, was not even drafted by him.
How good would OKC be without SGA?

I'm not ignoring it, I'm just not overvaluing it as you are it pertains to a player's development lol
You act like Gradey won't become the player he's capable of being just because he didn't have the best possible screen setting quality in his 2nd year of his career and I don't. Does it HELP him get quicker results/improved stats sooner? Yes to a certain extent but not one that's career altering. It's not like he's not going to be running the same actions, learning how to navigate the screens or how to counter and so on -- that's the ACTUAL development is learning all of those things.
Him occasionally getting easier looks because he's receiving better quality screen here or there isn't going to change the learning and development, only it's immediate efficiency. I'm willing to sacrifice those minor immediate gains in efficiency for greater long term success by adding another great talent to the roster.
I'm fully confident that FO will be able to find another good screen setter within the next 2-3 years lol again it's not that big of deal as it pertains to his actual learning & development, only effects SOME of his immediate efficiency bc ofc not every action involves Yak or requires a screen from him. I'm sorry but I just think you're making a mountain out of a molehile, it's not that big of a deal.

Who needs the worst record, we can still slip into the 1st pick.

Minor obstacle on the road to a top draft pick. Onto the next.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

Give it up. Look at this team. You tell me this is not better than our ceiling today and even if we get a top 5 pick tomorrow (next draft)?
Not to mention the 10+ FRP and swaps they still got
