I think 27 year old Ochai will be better than 27 year old OG

I don't think so. OG is so much thicker and stronger, it makes him a much better defender. He is truly elite and a game changer on that end and Ochai is just good to great. There is a significant gap on that end even if Ochai gets to a similar level offensively

If we traded Ochai for a late first rounder, the people here would be up in arms.

Chill dude.

27 year old OG got a 40M contract and was all-defense.

Looking forward to finding out how people discredit Ochoa now. Wanna hear my prediction?

“Masai **** up by trading a first for a win now player in Agbaji. If he didn’t do that we probably win 4/5 less games and we have a 3% Bette chance at Flagg instead of ______ we got. Just like when we got Thad and ended up with Dick instead of Scoot!”

But maybe I’m wrong

Nah, people love picks. If we traded Ochai for a late 1st in the next draft, they would celebrate turning a late pick in a bad draft into a late pick in a good draft, avoiding having to pay him two years early and the fact it would make the team worse this year.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Anyone who says "1st" without noting the actual pick nomination is being disingenuous or lacking the knowledge.

lol. Probably. This site is incredible sometimes. During summer league there were so many people pitch forking him and Dick. Players all develop differently. Whatever the raptors are doing now is working. This coaching staff is doing an incredible job and the players need a ton of credit also. Agbaji is a really likeable player also.

This whole time I thought Ochai was in his 4th year and we'd have to make a decision in the offseason didn't realize it was just his 3rd

Especially in a historically bad draft.

Well, there was the decision to pick up the option which I think some thought it should be 'no" after summer league.

And we got Kelly

When is Kelly slated to return?

If he comes back and plays at the same level as last year, I could see a contender offering up a late/future first for him.

Several playoff teams in desperate need of a big man - Lakers, Pacers, Pelicans, etc.

At this point...Kelly's really just here for the vibes. Great locker room guy. Solid vet presence. Great ambassador for Canada.

He would be a great addition to the Mogbo/Agbaji/Walter/Shead Bench (assuming brown and boucher is gone by deadline)

That Siakam trade looking better everyday.

Ochai
Walter
Olynyk

2026 could be a lottery pick

+ whatever we can parlay Bruce Brown into.

Not bad.

Yes, him just at the top passing out of the PnR and a threat to shoot the 3 doesn't let the bench big to clog the lane.

Where are the geniuses that kept insisting the trade was about Kelly Olynyk and not Agbaji?
