Cavs / Pels / Nets / Pistons
Cavs get: Brandon Ingram, Ziaire Williams, Day'Ron Sharpe and Jalen Wilson
Pels get: Max Strus, Isaiah Stewart, Jaylon Tyson and 2031 unprotected first via Cavs.
Nets get: Georges Niang, Jordan Hawkins and 3 2nds ('25 Mil, '27 Denver via Cavs and '27 Chi via NOP).
Pistons get: Caris LeVert, Antonio Reeves and '25 Cavs 2nd.
Why?
Cavs add a potential star wing and add much needed size.
Pels get a good return for Ingram and a starting C.
Nets get a decent package, a promising player and 3 2nds for their rebuild.
Pistons add a player in LeVert who is familiar with Bickerstaff.
Ingram has to agree to a max extension with Cleveland in order for the trade to happen.

I think he's worth close to the max. He obviously wants the max, but the Pelicans are reluctant to give it to him.
He'd be a great addition to the Cavs with his size.

Can’t see the Nets trading 3 young players that they like

The Cavs aren't doing this, or any iteration of this. The reasons have been discussed ad nauseum.

Wtf, Hawkins is in there? Have you seen him play? He is not some kind of throw in there.
Pels trade former all-star who is right now 23/6/6 player and started finally shooting 3's(40% on 6+ attempts, yes small sample size), and Pels have to throw in Jordan Hawkins one of the best sophmores in the league just to get that pile of crap back? cmn man..
Im all for trading BI for anything as you can see in my signature, but no way we should throw anything in this trade, let alone Hawk.

Why would the Cavs want to change anything about this team right now?

I’m a big fan of this for Brooklyn.
But I can’t see NO or Cleveland agreeing for reasons other posters have already stated.

No from the Pistons. Lavert isn't of interest and Beefstew has value for us.

No from New Orleans. But I'm higher on BI than this entire board.

To be better prepared to compete in the playoffs.
This deal isn't it though. Two many young guys they wouldn't be able to play, and putting in the '31 1st is just crazy.

What do you think the Cavs need to be better prepared to compete in the playoffs?

Pelican fans are too blinded by "could be's" instead of realities.
Jones, Murphy, Hawkins all could end up really good, but they are not in the upper tier of talent - and may never get there. Yet many fans see them as nearly untouchable.
To get talent, NOP is going to have to move talent.

Re: Cavs / Pels / Nets / Pistons
Ziaire Williams, Day'Ron Sharpe and Jalen Wilson are three promising young players on very cheap contracts.
You think the Nets would be happy with three second round picks and two negative contracts?
Start with a first rounder or a player the Nets would actually want and we will talk.

We arent getting talent in this trade.
And the "talent" NPOP is sending is overvalued by Pel fans. NOP fans are reluctant to move Jones, Murphy, and now apparently Hawkins.
When you take all but 1 of the top 8 out of the equation (Ingram), NOP is not going to receive talent back.
Ingram, alone, is not going to get the player NOP wants. They will have to settle or add young talent. As ingram is a flight risk.
