I don't think anybody has ever benched their starters in the 2nd quarter?

These game threads are pretty much unbearable anymore. But I guess it comes with the territory of heightened expectations.

Maybe SOUL had the right idea about retiring

to be clear on my stance (for the millionth time), Franz is a very good player and is worth a very large contract... just not a max. There is no hate in saying that the kid should be making $35 million freakin' dollars a year instead of $45 million.

For so many reasons, this just isn't the way it works and you are quite obviously smart enough to understand that.

We knew the offense was always trash. But the defense has been really lack luster to start this season as well. Like someone said. You can't be giving up 30 point quarter and not be able to score as well. That's what makes you the worse team in the league.

As bad as the offense is, the defense absolutely has to get better. If not we can expect a lot more of these games until Paolo is back.

There's like 40 guys in the league making THE MAX they can make right now, ya know?

Who is our next opponent in this unceremonious self destructive conquest of team fandom?

This trade wasn't some conspiracy - it was just a GM wanting AD bad enough where in most people's eyes he overpaid by a long shot to get him.

How did Houston get Sengun to agree to his deal though? Many view Sengun as just as good as Franz and some think he's better yet he didn't get a max.

I dunno... I just expected better out of this FO considering how well they've negotiated contracts in the past.

Why is our defense so bad?

Nothing. Even Green looked great playing next to Jokić.
He probably will make some of his open shots at some point, but he is nothing but Gary Harris 2. Might as well call them Harris-Pope-Twins.
3 and D players that can't put ball on the floor, don't cut that often, don'r shoot midrange, don't curl, don't attack rim. Just stand and wait for ball in corner.

-Anthony Black has looked abysmal in this one.
-Franz Wagner disappears for long stretches.
-Suggs had some good defensive plays. Not a pg.
-Moe is irrelevant when he can’t finish.
-KCP is a zero. Nothing to even comment. Waste.
-Carter playing injured, but he’s always injured, so it’s not news.

Game is already out of hand. Not worth watching down 25 at the half. Basically it’s over. Not worth watch the rest.

Fultz is way better than KC "can't make an open 3" P. Don't know what you had until it's gone lol.

Sengun isn't better than Franz and I don't think it's particularly close.

This is just such small potatoes though.

If he's not a max player, he's still a 40M AAV player and the difference is just so minimal that it isn't worth fretting over.

While I get what you are saying but you can't pay a guy that much and give the production he is giving. After the first few mins, he has completely disappeared. I feel like he benefits so much from Paolo but when he is getting paid as much as he does that should be the case if Paolo plays or not.

He's been the best player on the floor for Orlando tonight. By a wide margin.

Maybe production is the wrong word. He has been ok but ok is not ok when he is supposed to be more. Especially in a game where the magic are getting blow out.

Yeah the overreaction to game two of playing a different system because our focus point is out is just insane.

Luka has been awful to start the season, looks out of shape (played no preseason) so I expect him to go off against us

Sadly was right

Luka: 25 pts, 5 reb, 4 ast on 9/15 shooting, 5/10 from 3

This would be his best game of the season stats, in 1 half
