The other thing, and I don't think people are necessarily ready to have this conversation because of how beloved Suggs is based on how hard he plays...

But I think the decision to pivot Suggs from more of a 3&D catch-and-shoot player to a guy who dribbles and initiates a lot more offense has not been overly helpful to Franz's continued development either.

I stopped watching because it was high school varsity basketball run offense.

Dallas isn’t even great defensively. It’s just obvious how poor the roster construction truly is minus Paolo.

The Magic are like a money laundering operation at this point with how they pay players and who they give contracts to. They aren’t really trying to build a contender and shouldn’t be taken seriously. They aren’t beating the allegations.

You could say this about 3/4th of the league though? Maybe more?

Like if you remove the highest usage and top scoring player from any roster, that team is gonna be a lot worse.

The complimentary players don't have that driving force to play complimentary basketball off of.

eh, Franz has had plenty of opportunities to run the offense tonight and hasn't had much success.

Weltman decided to go for KCP instead of someone like Tyus Jones. The FO made their decision in the direction of this team.

It's not the direction I would have gone but I'm sure Mose was on board with it.

I said previously that KCP will go down as one of our worst signings ever, I want to update that to say he's going to go down as one of the worst FA signings of all time, for any franchise. Just wanted to get that in writing.

Like... no kidding?

He's their best player who appeared like he was making a leap into efficient superstardom.

Franz goes from a very good No. 2 to an ill suited No. 1. Suggs goes from a very good No. 3 to an ill suited No. 2. The role players don't benefit from the gravity. Etc.

It's no different than the Sixers absolutely sucking without Embiid.

So much of what so many NBA teams do is legitimately centered off the individual greatness of their best player.

Doesn’t really explain KCP, Gary Harris, Cole Anthony and Moe Wagner getting contracts and legitimately look completely unplayable though now does it?

You can’t use Paolo’s injury as a scapegoat for the FO paying those guys and all of them looking like complete garbage.

Suggs has risen to the occasion. So your theory doesn’t hold water.

T-Ross could come out of retirement and give us KCP's production
