LaMelo is going to get clowned for a while for this, lmao. That scream combined with the slap is just perfect.

You know dude is balling when you start hearing "he needs to be in a bigger market" comments on social media.

Just wait till they see a healthy Miller with Melo. We really got something special brewing. Health is the only thing stopping us right now.

Can this dude actually lead the league in scoring?

I'm shocked with his effortlessly scoring ability. He's on another level this year in terms of scoring.

Yeah if he keeps going to the rim and he gets calls like every other star does.

It's an issue. I'd compare him to someone like Trae Young - both slight PGs that shoot a lot of 3's (Trae at about 10 per, Melo at 12). Trae getting to the line at almost twice the rate as Melo.

I think LaMelo is every bit as capable as Trae going on a tear and leading his team to ECF, given the right roster at the right time.

LaMelo makes his teammates better than Trae does trolling for fouls through whole 4th quarters and through closing time.

I think the Hornets current young core has a better roster around the centerpiece than that Trae team.

If LaMelo can stay healthy and help us advance, I can see us not being a 1-hit wonder.

Lamelo needs to watch some Corey Maggette film.

I feel like Melo needs more FT's but at the same time think him attacking the rim too much will explode his ankles.

Lamelo will keep fouling out if we continue to allow the other team to get him in a switch with their best player every possession. It is the single biggest reason that he has been in foul trouble.

Coach Lee put a little too much dip on his chip with the “double team Melo 100% on defense” bite. I think he wishes he could get that comment back in the future.

Horford looking like an offensive lineman with his pushing, moving screens. Why no calls from the **** refs on the C's illegal screens?

having LaMelo as a PG requires a shotblocker. he should be using his height to dissuade and challenge shots on the perimeter while funneling drives toward a big, not trying to clamp premier NBA offensive wings lol. same deal with rebounding. its a cute idea to "trial by fire" him with these matchups but its not going to work that well, its not his experience or desire that stops him from being a good defender its his frame. He's big but he's built super weirdly, doesn't have much functional athleticism to speak of and is scrawny.

Proof LaMelo's still an elite passer when he wants to be.
