Adam Silver Discussing Changes To All-Star Game Format With Steph Curry

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Sun Nov 3, 2024 7:08 pm

Adam Silver said he was discussing potential changes to make the All-Star Game more competitive with Steph Curry.

Silver added that there was disappointed in last year's game from all sides, with the Eastern Conference beating the Western Conference 211-186.

"I think everyone was disappointed in what they saw last year. It wasn't just the league. It was the players as well, the players association. I think we all did what we thought we could, thinking particularly in Indiana, sort of the heartland of basketball, we would see a more competitive game," said Silver on Saturday.

Silver noted that he was looking into "not a traditional game format" but did not articulate what he meant.

With this year's All-Star Game in San Francisco, Silver also said he's had direct conversations with Curry on implementing potential changes.

"It's a home game for him. I know he's very prideful and wants to make sure the players put their best foot forward," said Silver.
