I stopped watching the Bucks Cavs game, with Giannis a late scratch, and Cavs up handily. Turned to watch Pistons beating Lakers for a long while. Back to Bucks game and they are up 7 on Cleveland. Crazy.

Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

This is like the 6th year in a row where preseason claims "the East is going to be a bloodbath" are incorrect. Unless people meant that there would be a bunch of teams that are equally awful.

Great stat line, but then you realize he only played 29 minutes in this game and it wound up being a 2 point loss for Memphis. Hard to be a star when the opposing team can't do anything about you but you can't even play 30 minutes in a close game.

Memphis lost because of bad 3 pt shooting.

Maybe the Bucks should bring back Griffin since he's still on the payroll. I can't believe someone thought that Doc would be a good idea.

Even with Gianis, I still would not trade rosters with them... their future looks bad... as does their management.

I remember watching a Bobby Portis clearout for ISO on Tatum earlier in the season.... And that was with Lillard + Giannis on the floor in the 4th quarter too.

Things like that is why we still need Doc out there as a coach. Hopefully not for your team

memphis was missing too many wings and guards, starting edey, jjj and santi aldama and bringing huff as as there 4th big, i watched the game and they got no transition opportunities which is a big part of their offence on a typical night. i think it was a concerted effort by brooklyn to give them nothing in transition. they forced pippen jr to shoot. i think they could have fed edey more but he was on court for most of ja’s minutes as it was so i don’t think it was really about not being able to stay on the court. memphis gave up too many open 3’s and got nothing in transition as i said. they definitely missed guys like gg jackson, vince williams, even marcus smart in this game.

I see Maxey is now out. Are the Sixers tanking?

The East has reached a new low, where even the Nets (a clear tanking team) are currently tied for 3rd in the East with a .500 record.

oh my god that's crazy. there's obviously a lot of season left and Embiid will be back soon but it's very possible that OKC gets a top pick.

The East is so bad and has been so bad for so long. There were a couple years not too long ago where the East reached parity with the West but it didn't last long.

The East is a joke. It's the Celtics and everyone else. Cavs look really good but I don't trust them yet. Knicks don't have much depth and OG hasn't had his annual injury yet. Indy's D continues to be a joke. None of the other teams are worth mentioning.

39.7 mpg was a little aggressive, for sure.

Shouldn't have been a HUGE issue for a 24 year-old, but he does have his history of durability concerns.

He's leading the league in distance travelled in just 7 games. Everyone near him has played 8 or 9. George and Embiid were eventually going to come back. The Raptors are playing RJ like 33 minutes a night. Nurse just doesn't have an off switch.

He goes hard with minutes, for sure. Very MAD-ish.

Of course, again, this is a little more about Maxey's body than Nurse's minutes in this specific case. Historically, dudes were doing this for a decade plus. But he's a sprightly little dude who does a lot of direction-change and stop-start and all that, so it's a little harder on the body. And again, not the healthiest dude to begin with.

I suspect that 7 games at 2 more minutes per game than he played last season wasn't a HUGE deal, though. Although I guess to be fair he was at 41 mpg prior to the injury.
