Garland remains a surgeon against drop centers.

Darius Garland had himself a night. To stay w jbk's analogy, he was surgical in the clutch and didn't take a single misstep. We have not seen this DG ever imo.

Two things I worried about when this game got out of the Cavs' hands was that Kenny was going to let his starting line-up ride and die that entire fourth, but he stuck to his guns and let his depth take up minutes. In a game this close and with a multitude of depth injuries, I wouldn't fault him for forcing it.

Secondly, DMitch was having an off-night and thought he was going to attempt to take the game over. Shows incredible growth by him to let DG finish out the game.

These guys are on another level rn.

We need another playable big. Tonight will not be the only night Wade misses.

Go back and watch what Garland did to Mitchell Robinson in the 3rd quarter of Game 4 in the Knicks series. He's a problem for drop coverage centers. I felt like Allen was a half a click slow tonight (could've been fatigue). Garland could've had 2-3 more assists.

I gotta say, i still do not like the matchup with the Bucks, we have no one who can even slow Dame down.

There are some players you can't slow down tbf. When Dame is on, he's really on

announcers have been p candid tonight

this seems to be a major indictment on JB

Hardly mattered with JBB, CPJ would play his heart out for him and still find himself right back on the bench as soon as someone higher in JBB's pecking order was ready to play.

I didn't catch the 2nd half, might re-watch. DG looks like himself again. Looks like Green and Dame were hot from 3 and we didn't keep up in the 3Q, Daugherty jinxed us by saying we hadn't scored under 20 in a quarter all season.

I'm just glad to have 6.5 games on the Bucks in the standings after playing 8 games. Ridiculous. Also the 5+ games on the Sixers and at least 4 on everyone not named the Celtics.

Great to see the Knicks playing their starters 40+ minutes and losing by 12. Do you think fatigue played a factor in them going scoreless in the last 1:50?

The guys did look tired but those 3 in 4 nights are rough games and like Niang said post game, they played 8 games in 13 days, they're all exhausted. They're not even really practicing at this point (rightfully so).

But mostly it was us missing open shots, Merrill missed 2 or 3 he normally makes. Plus there were some lapses on defense. We'd get hammered on 1 end, no call. Then go down and blow on Dame and he's shooting FT. It was just a perfect storm.

Thankfully late we had like 10-0 run then i think another 8-0 run to close the game.

True, it's not a good matchup for us. Dame went off both nights, Giannis the night he played went off, and Lopez pulls our bigs away from the rim.

That's before we even consider Middleton who has yet to play this season.

Allen looked a half click slow most of the night and definitely fatigued in the third. He only shot 50% and had a couple of unforced turnovers in what should've been scoring opportunities. If Thor isn't playable outside of garbage minutes, we need to bring in a big, maybe two, who are.

Yep, and by the numbers, Garland outplayed Lillard. Lillard took and made some tougher shots, but they don't count for more than just running the offense and taking what the defense gives you.

The refs were pretty dubious at times.

I'm glad we were able to pull it out. Need to get some of our wing players back or keeping this streak alive will prove difficult.
