Made a ton of sense at the time, but I bet he wishes he had him even a month later

Rather have Newsome if I could pick between the two.

One thing I do believe is that Gute is at least out there trying. He's not going to overpay but I think he's probably out there making fair offers. Didn't really feel that way with TT.

I agree that they need a corner. Newsome hasn't been very good this season. Pff has him ranked a little ahead of Stokes.

LVN has been pretty terrible though. They have to have something lined up for another edge guy.

It could be that they wanted off his contract as he also was pretty bad in this new defense.Ron Swanson wrote:LVN has been pretty terrible though. They have to have something lined up for another edge guy.

In theory, Packers should get something for a guy that hasn't done much this season and would probably be gone in the off-season.

Fine with it. Feels like Smith's been invisible all year.

Not a fan of this move. Saves us money but makes us worse imo.

Re: Packers News, Transactions - Preston Smith to Pit for a 7th
Preston hasn't exactly been lighting it up on the field this season but for a 7th seems like it'd make more sense just to keep him around for injury protection.
Hopefully this is just a prelude to a trade for a better pass rusher

Re: Packers News, Transactions - Preston Smith to Pit for a 7th
Preston Smith was undeniably a big part of the Packers success since signing here as a Free Agent. I wish him nothing but the best going forward. But it was time to move on, he's been very bad this season
Coach Drew: "Milwaukee has always been a team that I have been intrigued by. When we played them, they were a tough team for us to play. Although we did beat them all four times"
