Kid has shown defensive versatility and some passing sense but offense is king in the current NBA and if you can't put pressure on the defense as a threat to score your team is basically playing 4on5.

With Paolo out it is now put up or shut up time for AB. He needs to show more offense and not resemble Killian Hayes 2.0.

WTF are you talking about. Even I think he’s been solid.

This trade wasn't some conspiracy - it was just a GM wanting AD bad enough where in most people's eyes he overpaid by a long shot to get him.

I would say

#1 - you are hoping for a star.

#2 - they dont have to be a star from day 1. with the way players are coming out so young, they need time to develop

look at Jimmy Butlers 1st year stats. McGrady. even Jokic was 10 ppg his rookie year. Brunson was sub 10 ppg his first 2 years. SGA at 11 ppg his rookie year.

Look I like AB and think he will be a solid NBA player for a while but I just never say him as being a full time pg. I also never saw him as being any sort of serious scoring threat.

He is the definition of complementary role player. He could be great for us but I just don't see how he would ever take the next step beyond a back up pg or maybe a serviceable starting pg.

My homie Suggs was pretty bad when he first came in too and now he's a fan favorite. KCP is starting out super horrible and some ppl still like him too? AB just needs some more time under tension before we can be sure what he can develop into.

EVERYONE probably just wants you to stop spouting nonsense about AB.

Hayes was also a non-scoring point guard taken high in the spacing era. Black's statistical profile looks eerily similar to his. EVERYONE and you need to put the pipe down and see with your eyes.
