I agree. The defense has basically sucked since Paolo went out. A few of the teams called off the dogs early which led to some better looking defensive numbers than they actually played.

Hopefully getting back home and facing some easier teams will help.

We lost but I was entertained we kept it close, best game we've had since Paolo went out. We're only getting better, now let's get that W at home!

Probably not, but AB should be starting so he can help out Franz a bit.

Jett with 3 mins. We ran a 9 man rotation after his abysmal stint. I hope we continue with the 9 man rotation going forward.

I'm not into moral victories at all, and I do have serious concerns about their defense, but I do think they can find some stable footing here soon.

A winning record on the home stand would be a good start.

Agreed. He's good in any other on-air role but he should stay far away from play-by-play.

I like him and Jake Chapman but don't care for their commentary. I get that they've been with the org for forever but their skills leave a lot to be desired.

Defense has been inconsistent. Moments of great defense and moments of awful defense.

Jett is a trade chip. Attach him to a pick and go get us a scoring guard for the bench.

What defense are we talking about another 38 points allowed in the first quarter?
We need to get this **** together before its too late.

They come back home now and face some easier teams. If they struggle at home and have these 20 plus points deficits and continue to lose games, at what point do we panic? Somethings gotta give

So Paolo got hurt on October 30th.

6 weeks would be December 11th.

Talking 19 more games at least. Can they go 8-11? Dunno. Seems dicey.

They should be in the mix for a play in spot regardless of how bad it gets though.

But on the other end he could be back in under 3 weeks?

Cole is filler to match salaries. Jett still has upside and would be a player that a team like Utah or Portland might be interested in.

I mean there's no panic regardless.

Even if Paolo doesn't come back until January 1st, they'll still have 48 games left when he returns.

It stands to reason they'd win like 25 of those at the very least.

They already have 3 wins and by January 1st they'll have at least 10-12 wins.

I think mid 30s gets you in the play in.

And if it doesn't, then you just get another lotto pick to either add to the roster or make a trade with.

with the way this team handles injuries? My bet is that Paolo does not come back until January unless the injury was much less severe than it sounded like.

In that scenario, I think it will be tough to even make the play-ins but it is possible.

I am not expecting that. But I would love to be pleasantly surprised.

When they say re-evaluated in 4-6 weeks, generally it isn't gonna be a 4 week injury.

January 1 wouldn't shock me.

I expect that 10th spot to be mid 30 wins.

A lot of these teams that are currently playing hard in the East are going to pivot to tanking eventually.

Glass half full:

Same amount of wins as: Knicks, (potentially) Heat tonight.

More wins than: Philly, Bucks

Also even with Philly, Bucks turning it around, teams in the playoffs right now are Nets, Bulls, Hornets, Hawks.
