Nobody is defending Miller. I said either he or Melo needs to be taking the last shot.

Damn right youre not mY man. Dude inbounded the ball on the previous possession and waited long enough for a platoon to surround him. Hell no they won't go to him. Stop.

Bro if you don't like my post just block me. I don't know you like that. You coming at me with crazy weird energy after a win. All I said was Melo or Miller need to be taking those last minute shots with the game on the line.

I mentioned nothing about Miller almost costing us the game as that is another discussion. He's still a top 2 player on this team you want the ball in those guys hands with the game on the line not Grant Williams.

I respect that post. But after that last turnovers that nearly led to a game winning bucket Miller shouldn't have had the ball in his hands. We can barely inbound the ball as it is. They threw it to a wide open Grant who can hit it. It irks me that instead of celebrating the win you go straight to Miller or Lamelo should have shot it.

That's all.

I always thought the ragging on Cliff for poor sets out of timeouts or side out of bounds was hyperbolic.

It's early, but **** Lee I have never seen a team struggle to just get the ball in bounds like we do. Figure that **** out.

I see your point of view. We won the game that's all that matters. Hopefully Miller doesn't put us in that position again. He did almost cost us the game I agree. :D

I have no problem with you personally, but you tend to come off as a bully sometimes. We had these same kind of discussions a few times last year. I have no problem with you disagreeing it's just the way you come off it's like you in attack mode. I'm just saying don't talk to me like I'm a chump.

We all good man. :D

Maybe most encouraging things from tonight - Melo only 2 TOs and no foul trouble

If we get Mann, Melo, Miles, and Miller all firing on all cylinders on the same night, we're gonna put up 150 easy.

I only come off as a bully when I see something ignorant. We're good.

I think Cade would head 35 tonight if he could even remotely finish at The Rim.

I don't know what lamelo has to do to start getting a few whistles. Another game with zero free throws. And I feel like he got fouled a lot both away from the ball and at The Rim.

Grant's a better shooter (over 40% from three on nearly five shots per for the season) than he gets credit for. Unsung hero was Josh for getting the ball inbounded and then getting it to Grant after they got away with clobbering LaMelo.

The ending leaves the imprint.

But Miles played well the whole game, even returned from a fall that would've put most of these sissies on the injury report for 3 months.

His new, large (not huge) contract has been a topic of concern through the first 8 games. And LaMelo was supposed to miss this one with ankle soreness. That's leadership.

Miller feeds off competitive spirit and generates a fair share in his own way. He recovered from a botched inbounds play where we inbounded right into a trap.

The bigger story on the season is the center situation with Mark.

How did the Pistons end up with Reed and we settle on Taj Gibson?

We really refuse to fortify there. What is the gap in price? To add insult to injury, Reed nearly carried them to victory. And Duren would've terminated Taj.

Alas, a team headlined by Cade is sufficiently capped. This game feels like payback for that Olynyk buzzer beater. Put Grant Williams in a Pistons uniform and he hits that 3. The putback by Miller never happens.

So overall, this win registers as the kind that shapes team identity.

I maintain, we need to double down on culture and add some toughness. I still like Portis and Terance Mann.

Was wondering if anyone else saw that, LaMelo straight up got bowled over because Detroit wanted to get through the screen/traffic and they let it go. Just like when Stew slapped LaMelo on the wrist so hard it echo'd on the broadcast. I've got to imagine a lot of them don't like his personality or look or something. It's getting egregious.

As for that ending, we really did dodge one. LaMelo carried us at the end of that 4th while everyone else was a brick or turnover. Up 3 with 24 seconds to go, no idea how you let them just drive untouched to the rim. No way was that the plan, but it put the game in doubt once that happened because we still can't inbound. Miller got that inbound thinking he was going to get fouled immediately but instead they doubled and he didn't recognize it. Lesson learned I'm hoping. Have to pass to the open man in that scenario and his teammates need to spread out and come to the ball.

For the game winner play, holy hell. So glad we won that, but we messed up that inbounds play too - partly because the ref waited like 3 extra seconds to blow the whistle so we began moving early. I don't have a problem with Grant taking that 3, it was actually an open/quality look but NONE of them were falling last night and shooting it a little early at least gives you a chance for a put back which is what happened. Credit to Miller for fighting through his man from the corner to be in position for the put back, we needed that oh so bad and maybe it'll be a jumping point to some better play/wins.

NBA is a reputation league, Melo has a reputation as a guy that doesnt deserve a whistle. I'm not sure how you break that. Eventually someone needs to say something publicly would be a good step 1. MJ should have done it himself years ago, his word still carries weight. I always thought we got a better whistle when he was sitting courtside in their ears

That was a foul when the ball was "poked away" from Miller, but I'm glad karma wore a Hornets jersey for the first time since the 1990s. Great putback.

I don't care to watch at all. My patience has worn completely out.

When the Bobcats came into the league I was...16. It's been a long 20 years.

I’m halfway tempted to research some of these betting apps, surely there’s a platform that will let me bet straight up win/loss with odds. I have no interest in gambling but I’d love to bet this team to lose every game just to hedge against my emotions and at least monetize the suffering of rooting for this team
