Feels like it could become very awkward depending on the result on Tuesday.
Just checked the schedule and we have a home Cup game vs Cleveland on Tuesday the 19th, followed by 2 days off before making our last trip to DC on Friday. So it's possible that the Celtics can fit in a trip on one of those 2 off dates.

Has any ever noticed that Deuce is Left-Handed?

Re: Celtics 2024-25, Season Thread
Our ball movement game has not been trending in the direction, even though we’re 7-2.
We’re now 23rd in the league in passes per game (274)
We’re now 24th in the league in assists per game (23.7)
The problem with attempting 50 plus 3PTA per game, is how many possessions end without players seeming to want to step inside the arc and how this really depresses passing and assisted field goals.
The offense in the GSW loss looked downright simplistic at times. Golden State meanwhile is #1 in the NBA in passes per game (338) and, man, could you feel the difference lastnight

That's why I said GSW is a great regular season team.
But I don't think that style of play will succeed in the playoffs.
The playoffs is about matchups and a slower pace.

Celtics won a title playing similar offensive/passing profile. We were really never a high passing team. 24th in passes last season and just 21st in assist percentage.
Our offense was never really elaborate and elegant even last season. Hunt for advantage and make reads from there. What's missing against the Dubs was JB's threat with his drives and in transition and KP's low post option (apart from stretching the floor like none of other bigs can -- Al/X is more short ATB and corners).
Celtics vs. Dubs, 1st half: 81.6 ORtg
Celtics vs. Dubs, 2nd half: 153.2 ORtg
Wish we were able to adjust quicker but important thing is we have an answer for every defensive look.

As a shooting "specialist" I made a list for myself of the most accomplished shooters I have trained/developed. In my top 10, only 3 players I trained (ever?) were left handed. But in my top 10, 3 of my top 4 were left handed. Including my son who finished top 1% 3 point shooter pct (senior year) in Division 1 BB.
Not sure why.. Just making a note. But for every Chris Mullin you might get a Baylor Scheierman.

But I like lefties as shooters overall.
Go Deuce!
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

That's a good percentage.
Lefties are only 9% of the population, 1 in 11.

Re: Celtics 2024-25, Season Thread
West has 11 teams above .500. East has 2. LMAO. Not Celtics fault Boston is in the East coast. Early season schedule working out for the Cs. Only 4 of their first 30 games are against West teams -- v. GSW (L), v. MIN, v. LAC, v. MEM -- all at home. Tough part of the schedule begins in 2025 and by that time, we'll have KP and JB back (*fingers crossed*).

Re: Celtics 2024-25, Season Thread
Will be very interesting to see what the C's do with the roster. Springer is likely gone at the deadline but Jrue, KP, and Hauser are all candidates to be moved in the offseason. I think we have to move one of KP/Jrue to address wing depth/center (assuming they feel KP is just too much of an injury risk. We can't play Horford this much anymore. He's a 20mpg guy now.

Too early for all that.

Not good for locker room vibes.
There's really no significant benefit to cutting him.
Right now the Celtics are fine as is.
Removing or adding a player sometimes affects chemistry.
