No, he did it after Randle got injured, he averaged 7apg after Randle's injury. What Brunson needs to get better at is learning to play with a player that can play off him that can be used in a 2 man game. That is something he never had, not with Luka, not with Randle, the closest he came to that was with Donte but Donte is nowhere near KAT's level on offense, and he never had to directly interact with Donte to get him offense. KAT is something he's never had to play with before, a finishing big that can do pretty much everything on offense.

He needs to view KAT as a weapon, and Mikal is the one that needs to be more aggressive if anything.

Totally disagree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was all ihart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hart was the the real playmaker on last years team!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Which makes it infuriating to see Thibs not use Kat the same way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kat should be the offensive hub that we run everything through!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brunson can do what he does when it’s time to close!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brunson had the ball more last year post Randle injury than he does this year, so you're wrong Greenie. He's just not used to having a player like KAT, and this year teams are treating Hart like he's a center and guarding him with one which is messing things up, and even with that in mind we currently have the 4th best offense.

Ah let’s just agree to disagree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One thing is clear though Kat needs to be the #1 going forward!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That’s the only real chance this team has to succeed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What if Thibs goes back to "Thibs ball" when Mitch/Precious returns with KAT at the 4 and Hart off the bench and we do well with that but then we never utilize a true 5-out offense. Is that OK? Will it limit our ceiling against the top contenders (BOS/OKC)?

4 assists from your superstar PG having the best starting five in the league while having the ball in his hands more than any other PG needs to be the first issue to be addressed and to be (re)solved

Coach has to run more plays for Bridges and OG where they come off KAT or HART picks and curl to the rim on the strong side (their right hand drives)...

Not to forget the league’s most unguardable pick and roll / two-men handoff… inexplicably nowhere to be found down the stretch against Atlanta.

Thibs ball with Precious & KAT is a lot more functional than Robinson & KAT. Precious 3PT is more or less on par with Hart.

If the Bucks lose, it gets them closer to trading Giannis to Golden State

Does a Curry/Hield/Giannis/Draymond squad win it all?

Look at us shielding brunson from the wrath of the vicious fans. Hopefully he turns it around before you piranhas turn on him.

as it currently stands.. our ceiling with kat at the 5 is already limited. the data is out there from his time in minnesota. it might just not be a winning formula. kat at the 4 at least give a more realiable spacer there rather than randle

no one's putting him in the trade machine but our beloved brunson being held accountable proves it's usually not personal with most knick fans

Accountability is one thing but lack of loyalty and trust is another. Especially with a guy who revived the franchise and took such a massive pay cut to stay here. It's a bad look.

send him in the package for greek freak!!

I guess Bridges will guard Dame, as he has been guarding the opposing PGs like Trae and Rozier and Van Vleet and Donovan Mitchell. I wish he could be guarding the 2 or the 3 man, I think he'd be better vs wings. But unfortunately JB can't guard those guys full time, can't guard his position. It's better when Deuce comes in and guards the small quick PG's but he doesn't play enough minutes.
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

Still a small sample size but here’s some numbers for the starters

K. Towns - O. Anunoby - J. Hart - M. Bridges - J. Brunson
7 games
128 mins (2nd)
117.3 ORTG (8th amongst lineups >48 mins)
119.4 DRTG (25th amongst lineups >48 mins)
-2.1 NRTG (12th amongst lineups >48 mins)

That defensive rating is unacceptable

I'm thinking that we might need to put Precious in at PF when he returns and move OG back to SF.
