If you (the Bucks) got the AJ's, you (the Bucks) should use them (the AJ's.).

I was thinking about this possession all night... The actions blown up by AJJ here show his crazy BBIQ on the defensive end. I saw someone else say it here but I don't give a damn about his offensive limitations, he deserves to start nightly and it shouldn't even be a question.

Just look at how Lauri Markkanen, who is listed at half a foot taller and 30 lbs heavier, just bounced off of him and then couldn't take advantage of the size mismatch.

There's a play in the 3rd I want to point out. Dame had the ball on the wing with Markkanen on him and Giannis posting up Cody Williams. Cody was denying Giannis and Dame couldn't go over the top with Markkanen on him. Jackson recognized it, flashed to the top of the key with Sexton on him, and called for the ball. Dame gave it to him, Cody had to get inside to take away the back door, and Dre had an easy angle to get it in to Giannis one-on-one from like 10 feet out. That's a dunk 90% of the time, it's a very simple play, and it's exactly the kind of thing the offense has been missing with Khris out, even more than his shot making.

watch here

It's clicked for Dre. He's adjusted to the game speed.

Doc has adjusted! I know it's just Utah but we look completely different with a guy who actually gets guys off their spots at the point of attack rather than just trying hard following a guy to his spots.

It really did feel like the mental slow down game for Dre. So many plays tonight where he read and reacted beautifully, just trusted his instincts. Hopefully maturing into the glue guy we hoped he would be. Pepper him into lineups with star power and he really shines brightly.

Impressive win against the 1-win Jazz at home. Almost as impressive as beating the injury depleted Sixers to open the season.

I was happy for the win and enjoyed the second half. The first half not so much.

Will Hardy does not seem to like calling time outs to stop opponent's momentum. That approach is tough on a team brimming with self doubts.

At the end of the day, I don't think contenders measure themselves against the Utah Jazz.

^^^ No one is saying everything is fixed. We're saying it's a step in the right direction ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Jax'n'State delivered, he's gonna be the new Jrue. Hopefully Doc doesn't mess with him in that lineup.

Brook/Giannis/Khris/Dame/J'n'State: that's the BIG5.

Bev was right. Jr. going to be a special player.

MickeyDavis wrote:Progress. AJJ and Green have solidified their rotation status. Trent will have to earn back PT.

And you can debate whether Dame and Giannis will ever be a good fit but some of the Dame takes have been hilarious.

Good win with the Knicks and Celtics on deck.

Agree dame is the least of their problems thry get nothing offensively from 3/5 ths of their starting lineup n its pretty much 2 on 5 every game.

Whats hilarious is that Doc had no plans for AJax to be in the rotation this season. 1-6 and it was break-glass-in-case-of-emergency time. Preparing myself for 4 minutes of pt tonight.

The offense still looks completely out of synch whenever Dame is off the floor, and the defense still looks busted whenever Bobby is on the floor. The latter is more fixable, but the former might be more concerning in the long run. Middleton coming back certainly helps that, but the team needs to find a way to generate more 3PT looks in general (we're currently 12th in 3PT attempt rate after being Top-5 each of the last 2-years). Will take the win and the positive signs from Andre though. Dude doesn't always need to start, but he's definitely solidified his place in the regular rotation at this point.

So who's putting together the supercut of AJ Green iso defense? Or is a 10-minute video asking too much?
