I know we saying Towns open it up for Brunson. Let’s talk about the space Towns got now lol. He has space to attack rim strong. Sometimes it’s a disaster but it’s more good than bad. Especially when he makes the pass to corner.

It's really the drop, and the fact he's not a drop C. The Rockets are 4th in DRTG, and the Kings are 11th, neither has a rim protector at C but they don't just drop against everyone.

It's weird too because Knicks were the one team who didn't do a lot of drop coverage last season in playoffs according to YouTuber Awful Coaching who would always point out how the bad teams played drop coverage and he hated it but the Knicks didn't. So I begin to wonder if it is a KAT issue or Thibs suddenly changing his philosophy and actually using drop D.
