The Celtics actually tried to trade Springer before the start of the season. They were not successful. Lonnie Walker might have had the inside track had Springer been moved.

Our options are really minimal (salary and assets). At best I think you could obtain Javonte Green and bring him back to Boston if the Pels keep on underperforming. Green has always been a very good perimeter defender and perhaps more reliable in his overall game than Walsh, Tillman or Springer as a low-usage defensive specialist.

Yeah, Javonte is better than Walsh right now.

In 2 weeks Javonte can be traded.
