I know Joel's gonna fix a lot of this; but I'm seriously thinking for the franchise their best bet is to go the Tim Duncan tank year like the Spurs. I know it's early, but this draft is top heavy in exactly what we need SF's big PG/SG's.

Right there with you. The worst thing in my view for any coach is putting starters back in for a game you aren't going to win. You don't risk a fluke injury for no reason. I used to hate it when Brett did it; when Doc did it and now Nurse. In my eyes that should be a fire-able offense.

All this talk of, "we don't care what our seed is, we just need to make the play-in healthy" and your dumb-a** coach is risking injury to a crucial player in garbage time.

If this team doesn't drastically improve when Embiid returns and they continue to look bad and lose games they should win, Nick Nurse is going to be fired during the season. They did too much to sell this season as their big shot to finally win a title, and if it doesn't just look like it'll disappoint but looks like it'll be a total disaster, then someone is going to take the fall for it. And it's unlikely to be Morey.

There is no better coach available than Nurse in the open market. Also think once Joel is back to form the Big 3 on the court for the first time, we will be one of the most feared team unlike last season with only the Big 2. Only teams in our conference that we will have trouble with are the Cavs and C's.

The most impressive player from the Lakers last night was Reddish imo. He did a great job defensively on PG unlike anyone from the Clippers and think the Lakers found their backcourt mate for Reaves instead of Dlo who can't play defense even if he tried. No team need every starter to be scorers and bench all the bad scorers. For teams with BIG 3, the other 2 guys need to be stoppers cause defense win games, which is how the C's won the championship. We need to follow that same blueprint.

I wonder why we didn't end up with Cam when he was traded from the Knicks to the Blazers in a 4 team trade that we were also a part of. He was born like 5 miles from Philly, so he is basically a homegrown kid. We could have ended up with Cam plus 5 second round picks instead of Portland to be our future SG for our Maxey. Oubre Jr is not as good of a stopper and is an inconsistent scorer, so he either needs to step up or we will need someone better at the 2 going forward.

Excellent if we’re expecting him to just replace Nicolas Batum.

Disappointing if we’re expecting him to be part of our big 3.

He has to be more aggressive. And he’s not allowed to join our “cursed 3pt shooters” club

This season is done. Best we can hope for is to build a little chemistry towards the end and come back healthy next year. It's going to suck giving that pick to OKC.

That would be smart as he is their worst defensive player by far, where the Nuggets attack him regularly to sweeping the Lakers in the conference championship. Surprise he was still their opening starter when this season began, but JJ wised up. Kinda wish JJ was our HC now cause he would bench guys who wasn't doing their job.

It shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. Our big 3 didn't spend any time practicing together before the season started. Morey and Nurse continued to ignore how undersized we were and doubled down on it. We loaded up on old short guards who shouldn't be playing heavy NBA minutes. I'm just waiting for PJ Tucker to rejoin the team to complete the circus.
