With all these bad 3rd quarters, bad performances of Bam, Butler and Rozier, the Heat are ranked 14th on offense with an ORtg of 114.2.

Defensively is where the team has gotten worse and that has happen every year except for the PJ Tucker and Bubble year

That's hardly surprising with what we keep trotting out there. One bad defender on the floor can be covered up for. Two bad defenders on the floor can be lived with if your offense can carry you. Three bad defenders on the court may as well be five.

Since the Detroit game the Heats Offense has gotten better.

Offensively the team goal needs to be above 116 ORtg with a target 118. Take out the turd quarters they are at 116.

Defensively the Heat been up and down all over the place. 3 games they had DRtg below 108 and 5 games above 116

Jimmy needs to decide if he's the superstar on this team or not. If he doesn't want the ball in his hands on every possession, and he's not willing to put up 18 shots per game, then we need to move on today. If he's not willing to take on the responsibility of a superstar and put it all on him, then we're just wasting time and cap space. Paying a guy max money so he can spend most of his time playing like a high end complementary player is not acceptable.

I'm tired of the reluctant superstar routine.

Bam has no choice but to be a center. If he's not then his value drops. He becomes an anti-spacer on offense letting opposing teams clog the paint on defense. I'm tired of everyone's fantasies about how the team should play. Bam can't **** shoot. Outside of 10 to 15 feet his shooting percentage is subpar. I don't care if 3 to 5 years from now his shot comes around, right now he can't shoot and he needs to play center whether he wants to or not.

I can see that maybe he has to now... his mind has been conditioned... For many years we all have seen that bam needs help inside the paint

He has been ruined in my eyes, But maybe he has it in him to recover if spo sees it

Either he plays Center or you find a Center that can shoot 3’s like a Vucevic or Olynyk. I agree he can’t shoot good enough to sustain a lineup with a Center that can’t shoot 3’s consistently and hard for him to be a Center without a bruising PF that can score and shoot 3’s.

They aren't ending up with Fox, but for a moment lets assume they would.

- What has Fox ever done in this league? He hasn't even won a playoff series...
- His career numbers are 55.7% TS he doesn't have a single season where he is 60%+ TS, only once his net rating was positive on bbref.
- He is heavily riliant on mid range, his rim attempts are declining and his 3p shot isn't good enough.

They aren't winning with Fox either, they need a legit top 10 guy and Fox ain't it.

A lot of focus on the offense and rightfully so but you’re not beating anyone giving up 135 points. We have the 15th best offense right now and 19th best defense.

Man what a regression from even the preseason where EVERYONE looked comfortable in the new offense and we were also averaging 16 steals a game. Not sure what flip switched to ruin all that but it looked very promising.

Butler’s highest value in trade was before the season started but this front office just can’t let go of the run it back.

They never capitalize on players when their value is high so I’m personally not shocked. We probably have the most delusional front office in the league. Instead of making the move needed to put us over the top (that all of us knew was needed) they refused to do anything but run it back.

I’m curious to see how this stretch without Jimmy goes, if the offense/defense figure themselves out and we get some big wins it could lead to some interesting conversation but I’d guess we continue to spanked by every decent team we play which has been the case the last 2-3 years.
