Dame Time in South Beach
Milwaukee trades: Damian Lillard
Miami trades: Duncan Robinson, Tyler Herro, Josh Richardson, two 2nd round picks
Why for the Bucks? The Dame experiment seems to be a failure and they need a jolt before losing the season for good. Surrounding Giannis with shooters like Herro and DRob would probably do this team wonders.
Why for the Heat? They were reportedly interested last year with a Herro, DRob, and 1st last year. They would be getting Dame at a “cheaper” rate this year.

As a Bucks fan this trade doesn't work. In my opinion if Bucks trade Dame to Miami I would prefer something like Dame and Pat Connaughton to South Beach for Rozier, Herro, and K. Ware and a 1st. Your OP would leave the Bucks with no PG.

I like this better for Milwaukee as well. I think they still need a follow up trade as Rozier is not an ideal PG.

Lol, good luck Bucks fans.
Based on past Miami / Portland trade thread...Heat fans can be tenacious

The OP is horrible for Milwaukee. It's basically Dame for Herro and scraps. Why would the Bucks do that?

Giannis has to go first. You don't trade Dame and then have Giannis ask out.

you can trade Dame first. You can't trade him for Herro or Rozier though lol

I don't see Dame as a particularly valuable asset, personally. I'm not saying he's less valuable than that package, but he's not going to return anything great.

Dame is a 34 year old undersized PG who has historically only shot 43.8% FG / 37.1% 3PT with a huge contract still. I think he’s very overrated on these boards. Herro is 25 years old and shot 44.1% FG / 38.7% 3PT. I think if the Bucks want to retool and get younger, this may be one of the feasible offers out there.

Problem is the Bucks cannot aggregate.
Maybe something like Dame for Rozier, Duncan Robinson, Jovic and one of the minimum contracts (Josh Richardson, Burks, Thomas Bryant)?

Then why post a trade for him?
Dame for Rozier, DRob, JJJ, FRPs is fair.
Bucks can start Rozier, JJJ backcourt and Miami can keep Gerri as 6th man.

Geez I'm having flashbacks... "Trade us your franchise PG. Were making a great offer. How can you ask for more he isn't even that good. Maybe we don't even want him but also have you thought about our offer again, its a really good offer".

This isn't Heat fans doing this, so please don't blame this on us.
I'm on record as saying I didn't want him the last time this was brought up. He's done nothing to change my mind.

LOL! He's not worth that. I would include the first, but not JJJ. Dame hasn't looked good and it's not like he's going to improve. He's old and VERY expensive. I'm just not giving up anything that valuable to pay that bill...

"Surrounding Giannis with shooters like Herro and DRob would probably do this team wonders." Make it make sense, I mean for real what the f ?
Dame is a shooter himself the problem is not shooting, the problem is the defense that does not exist in Milwaukee anymore. Neither Duncan nor Tyler will help with that. Milwaukee says no.

Re: Dame Time in South Beach
Miami needs to be willing to give up Butler and a first for Dame, IMO, and a third team needs to be found that wants Butler for something Milwaukee wants (Ingram comes to mind? depth and/or pick(s) from Houston)?
e.g.,
MIA trades: Jimmy Butler, 1st
in: Dame
MIL trades: Dame
in: Brooks, Smith, 1st from HOU, 1st from MIA
HOU trades: Brooks, Smith, 1st
in: Butler
with filler/protections/2nds as needed to balance.
e.g.,
MIA trades: Jimmy Butler, 1st
in: Dame
MIL trades: Dame
in: Brooks, Smith, 1st from HOU, 1st from MIA
HOU trades: Brooks, Smith, 1st
in: Butler
with filler/protections/2nds as needed to balance.

No, that's not what Miami needs to be willing to do. That would be a cosmically terrible thing for Miami to do. Dame isn't worth that. He's old as dirt, plays no defense, and is vastly overpaid. If we were foolish enough to go after Dame it would be to put him with Bam and Butler, not in place of Butler.
Isn't this common sense?

Wouldn't it be commons sense that Milwaukee, a team that wants to content, wouldn't trade Dame for Herro and/or Rozier as the centerpiece without significant compensation? Dame has been better than Butler this year and through their careers & is not expiring & is younger than Dame. If Miami wants him they'll have too give a good offer.

Is there another team for Dame if a Miami trade cannot be worked out?
