I don’t fear that at all lol there’s still great prospects at 5-6.

Yep. Getting a top 6 pick in a strong draft is awesome. I don't even know if Flagg is the consensus #1 this year, too early to tell.

This team is the most fun to watch since the championship. Love watching these young players compete and lose. Hated the Fred + Pascal era. Glad we’re past that.

I agree. Regardless of how the ping pong balls fall,
You still get a good prospect

Scottie's Rookie year was kinda cool to witness, especially heading into the playoffs, but yeah, that following year was pure pain.

That fifth or sixth pick could still be a high potential player. From everything I’m hearing this draft is deep. Much better than gunning for the playoffs and getting the 12th pick

I like how Darko fixed the offense even though we don’t have very good creators/scorers it gives off that illusion we do. Unfortunately the defense has gone down the drain. I wanna see Scottie go back to anchoring the defense with steals and blocks when he’s back.

Obviously small sample size, but we are doing much worse with Shead out there than Mitchell.

Maybe we can just trade Mitchell and that and the odd injury here or there will be enough to keep us around 30 wins and the 4th or 5th draft slot?

Can sign a new backup PG (even Mitchell, lol) with the MLE this summer if Shead doesn't earn the job, along with the wing I'm assuming we draft.

I do actually like Mitchell's longer term fit here as the backup PG (if it's say 7M a year to keep him), in that we have well below average perimeter defence, and he has been alright at running the O in a limited usage kind of way, but not enough to say want the 9th draft slot going into the lottery versus the 6th slot.
Where's the D?

And don't be shocked when alot of the vets get moved for draft picks and prospects....By the time we are healthy we will be way 2 far behind in the standings to even try at that point and the draft lottery odds will be the priority for everyone

Masai better not blow this. Just like when he made the hard decision to trade away DD, OG, and Siakim at crucial times, he needs to make some decisions about our roster too. We still have a lot of deadweight. Get rid of them for more assets and complete the move to a full on tank.

I don't want any attempt at trying to make the play-in. Not this year.
Ok but here's the thing; we gave up several wins already because of self-inflicted mistakes. The Hornets game, both Denver games and the Clippers game, were easily winnable games. Meaning: we could very well be 4 and 6 making a tank year an illusion (in my opinion, it still is).

If Mitchelll will sign a long term contract for $5 million or less per year like McDaniels then I'm fine with him as a backup PG.

I mean, if Cooper is Banchero with more blocks that's the safer pick and should be happy. Bailey is like Risacher floor with a ceiling of TMac with higher 3pt %.

Don't be fooled by 3rd/4th option guys masquerading as maybe 2nd option guys. This team needs a high end talent badly.

I’ll say it again, Yak has not missed a game. When he goes out the flood gates will really open.

Young guys showing tons of potential (Dick, OA, Barnes, IQ, Mogbo, hell even DM) and we are playing alot close Ls.
