Another great signing from Brad.

Q is under contract until 2027.

If Q continues to develop, he's our Center of the future.

Right now Q is the only Center on the roster under contract for the 2026-27 season.

I know there is a lot of talk of developing Walsh and/or Springer but their development is far less important than Queta's growth.

Remember that push shot by Queta last night? That wasn't improvised.

Here he is pregame, practicing that very shot:

You can't deny the guy's talent. Queta makes an impact on both ends. He has to refine a lot of things but that will come with more minutes and responsibility. Let him make mistakes during the regular season and get some experience. If that means lemon square and Tillman don't play another minute this season, count me in!

If Queta starts last nights game, Celtics likely don’t need OT to put it away. What a huge break for the Celtics that this guy has been able to develop so much so rapidly. He doesn’t see it all the time yet, but when he does he’s making the kick out corner pass from the high post much faster as a roll man this year

Queta is greata!!!
I am glad he is getting a shot and doing pretty well with it. I am very hopeful that he can develop into a guy you can really trust to have on the floor in big games…I think that’s realistic. Can he be one of our top 2 bigs…25-30 minutes a game after Horford is gone. I am hopeful but I think still work to do.

Give the Kid a Break. He's still coming along.
He's one of those "everybody passes him over" guys. Until someone like Brad gives him a real shot.

1) He's been a Two-Way all the way up unto the last part of last years' NBA Regular Season.
2) This is his first time doing an NBA Season, as a full NBA Player.
3) The Kid was Drafted 39th.
4) This is only his 4th year.

Of course, Neemias Queta is no Nikola Jokić.
But in comparison, Jokić was Drafted 41st. And has been the MVP, 3 times. IJS

What Queta needs more than anything is good coaching and minutes. Patience is the key.

This is why the regular season standings mean nothing IMO. Fans, media and tv analysts all said living and dying by the 3 will be the teams downfall. They shot a few less 3's in the playoffs and their % was down in the playoffs. They played a little more bully ball in the playoffs. He's staying out of foul trouble and he's not a liability on the ft line. If his minutes gives Al rest but there's a few more losses along the way then IMO that's a good trade off.

Teams are gonna shake their heads when Queta and KP are on the floor together.

I'd like to see that twin tower lineup.

Playing Queta will spare Horford, but it's not going to cost wins. The Celtics have lost twice this season. Queta was +18 and +13 in those games. Had he played more in the Indiana game, the Celtics would be 9-1.

I think they'll see losses early on because of a new style of play. Annoying losses like the GSW one, but for the long run they'll probably end up being the hottest team going into the playoffs when it eventually clicks.

It seems like Celtic's are giving Queta the chance to have the same role and career potential as Isaiah Hartenstein for the Knicks. Ihart was solid before the Knicks, but they were able to finally give him the consistent 20 mpg, and the dude was seen as the best backup big last year, and just signed for 20+ mil. He did that by eating on the boards, protecting the rim, and moving the ball on offense. I don't see why Queta can't do that, and agree he is developing that role.

I understand why Kornet is getting the majority of the burn right now, he's low key a solid Celtic like Walter McCarty, but I wouldn't be surprised to see their minutes switch and Queta gets the starts and 20 mpg when Al sits. He's been a monster on the glass this year, and think he's only going to get better with that 16-20 minute per game role he's going to get this year. His agent set him up for success similar to IHart.

Celtics this year are awesome, i'm watching this year know that we are most likely losing KP for next to nothing given the number crunch and availability, and it's nice knowing we still have a core of homegrown talent to surround the Jay's with through their primes also.

Queta
Tillman
Walsh- Baylor
Hauser
Pritchard

Brad has been absolutely running circles on how to develop while building. Walsh will be in the rotation next year for sure too

Queta staying healthy is great for us. He looks to be our 3rd-Big, of this Season.
I can see him moving up further next Season, as well.
