This thread title should be:
Bears 8.0: Season being flus'd down the drain
So far this game is a disaster.

Re: Bears 8.0: Season being flushed down the drain
This guy would be a great addition to the Defensive line next year:
Deone Walker, Kentucky Wildcats
Walker is the textbook definition of “first guy off the bus”. At 6-foot-6, 348 pounds, he dwarfs nearly every offensive lineman he lines up against. Most defensive tackles that size normally end up serving as run-stuffers who eat double teams while adding little to nothing as a pass-rusher. While Walker can certainly do the first part (81.7 PFF run-defense grade in 2023), the latter couldn’t be further from the truth.
The sophomore’s 51 pressures this past season led all interior defensive linemen in college football while his eight sacks were tied for the most among Power Five ones. Since 2022, he’s the second-most valuable returning Power Five defensive tackle according to PFF’s wins above-average metric (Graham is first). While Walker has the sheer strength to overpower offensive linemen, he often wins with his outstanding agility and finesse at that size. Like Graham, expect Walker to be a high pick in the 2025 draft for just how much of a unicorn he is.

And it's the same story with the Bulls and the Sox. Horrible completely below competitive level ownership is such a crippling factor in modern American billionaire sports ownership. The mccaskeys have bottom tier traits at that ultimate level because they're just nepo boomers and didn't earn this. Just like the reinsdorfs as they nuke their franchises into dust.

You kind of have to fire flus too- can't keep a coach through 2+ offensive coordinators.

This is embarrassing. Haven’t looked competitive since they blew the Commanders game.

Re: Bears 8.0: Season being flushed down the drain
At some point, Agent Bagent has to come in. There are several problems here, but putting Bagent in with the same WR's, OL, OC, and HC tells of how much of this is CW.
This is probably the first time I've actually said to myself, "we should have kept Fields". I know it is 100% knee jerk, and CW is just a rookie in his 9th start, but at 8.5 games though a 17 game season, this offense is not producing given the talent it has at the skill positions, and CW is looking like he peaked in week 4.
John McKay nailed it on his famous answer to a reporters question.

What do you think of your team's execution, coach?
“I'm in favor of it.”

Poles hasn’t been great and neither have any of his coaching picks. The roster hasn’t been great either. Has gotten a little lucky, a little unlucky, and just some plain old bad. Me on the other hand, I’ve been a good patient, loyal fan.Time to fire someone!

Easiest team to defend. Slow processor at qb plus terrible play caller plus battered OL

Re: Bears 8.0: Season being flushed down the drain
Last week I kind of jokingly asked who wants to bet on if eberflus will be fired after getting embarrassed on thanksgiving by the lions or after another loss to the packers. Jokingly because I was hesitant to be confident that ownership would fire someone mid season. Eberflus shouldn’t make it to next week
