A 6 man rotation is insane at this point. This is some dumb ass short-term thinking.

when we lose a player thibs just gives more mintues to the starters...he is a good foundation builder but he is way out of his element coaching this style of basketball.
I know it's the g League but TJ Warren was a legit good NBA player. No harm giving him a shot.... We could def use some bench scoring help

Can he shoot threes?

Can we trade Bridges in a three way deal for Iheart and Divo? The chemistry has left the building.
There's something about an underdog that really inspires the unexceptional.

I laughed when ESPN's article said that we will be a 44-46 win team.. this might be true

Career 35% from three
Would be an incredible story if he got called up and played meaningful minutes. He hasn't been good since the bubble

The last sentence is undeniable. However, the cause was serious injury. Now, it's hard to tell if that's insuperable. But the guy's only 31 and appears to be fit for the first time since the bubble. That ought to be worth a punt for someone - barring medical knowledge the teams might have to which we don't have access.
I mean - at and/or before the bubble TJ Warren and Jerami Grant were the two most undervalued contracts in the league. Jerami got paid (somewhat), TJ got hurt.

Re: PG: Knicks lose to Pacers - Thibs is a Terrorist
Think about the jobs/ work we love doing. I'm sure no matter how in love we're with it, there are certain aspects of it we don't really love doing, e.g. if you're a chef, you love cooking but you don't love cleaning your station. If you're an uber guy you love picking up but don't love the upkeep or maintenance cost of the vehicle, etc etc.
Thibs absolutely loves coaching, but there are certain aspects of it he doesn't love like substitutions, or roster management.
If it were up to him in his perfect world, players never get tired and a full roster consists of only 5 players, no bench.
The part about doing the certain aspects we don't love of a job that we loving doing is we either put up with it/ half hearted effort (e.g. playing Kolek for 2 mins to show the world he did substitutions) or the smarter alternative would be to delegate it to someone else who loves doing it.
If he hates substitutions/ managing roster, he MUST delegate it to an assistant coach who loves doing it.
---
The part that drives me crazy is I'm sure JB, Mikal, Josh, KAT, OG would defend Thibs for the 10000000th time saying they're competitors and love to play more mins, not less.
Hey JB, now you're the cap, you must think from the best interest of the team, not 1 individual, including Thibs. You really think playing 6.5 players a whole game the starters were tired they let the Pacers score 40 in 4th q would get it done, is an essential ingredient for a championship run season? Get real please !
He turned down the Lakers cuz he wants to stay in East coast. Maybe he accepts the Knicks job?
