Knicks have a Bridges problem. To give the Nets all them first round picks for a guy that was dubbed a very good defender and he cant stay in front of his man or get over picks. His shooting is hit or miss. You cant make that trade unless you know your getting a star caliber player

Bridges along with most of our players aren’t being put in position to play great, your weaknesses will be exposed consistently when that happens, it’s that simple.

Thibs is the answer, solution and problem for our troubles.

Bridges has been the guy he’s been his whole career. Expectations only changed when the Knicks decided to pay 7,000 cents on the dollar for him.

my only saving grace keeping me sane atm is in 2022-2023 after 9 games we were 4-5.. last year after 9 we were 5-4… this year 4-5.. seems to be a trend

What the hell is wrong with this coach man. Mikal sucks. Defense isn’t great and the only shot he takes that I have faith in is that short midrange fade. Any 3 he puts up I already expect a brick.

I could probably count on one hand how many minutes kolek got and sims was the only other guy I saw off the bench. This coach is beyond incompetent. Uses 6 guys all game and doesn’t even know how to properly scheme them defensively. What the hell is the point of running 6 guys into the ground and you don’t even make sure to maximize them. Weird game, because our ball motion for three quarters was really good and we were still able to get leads shooting mid-range vs. their three ball.

It had me thinking we'd have more versatility in the playoffs, but then came the 4th quarter and it was terrible to see our coach make NO ADJUSTMENTS and let the Pacers bombs away.

It was up to that point an entertaining game, but nights like this makes it difficult not to question Thibs' ability as a coach. Great culture guy, bless him, but when Thibs gets outcoached he gets his head handed to him.

And it happens too often not to wonder if our ceiling will be our coach, not our roster.

It’s hard to think of any other sporting team that has such obviously asinine coaching. We probably would be better off with no coach.

I also want to say some of our guys were terrific tonight, but they looked gassed out in the last six minutes. OG in particular was so good most of the game. The offense really runs well through him when he touches the ball. He's very smart running the floor, taking the ball, passing off and running to the next spot. It creates lots of motion and he raises this club's IQ significantly.

Towns did lots of great work tonight too. And Brunson was mostly getting it done.

But they all kind of faded at the end. It's not like we can't let guys like Huk, Dad and Kolek on the floor. They are already pretty good.

There is failure to make in-game adjustments, but there is also the issue of running guys too hard too early in the season. They were tired and failed to close on the Pacers shooters late in the game and they got burned badly.

Whether you call it strategy or bad rotations, it falls on the coach tonight.

Getting rid of OG would be one of the worst moves in this club's history. The guy impacts the game all over the floor like no one else I've seen and that includes Giannis.

That's doubtful. They just extended him this Summer through the 2027-28 season.

We'd have to miss the playoffs or get bounced in the first round or embarrassed in the second round for that to happen.

- you play drop coverage with towns when this team should switch everything
- you have no offensive strategy ever

Worse than being mediocre - the team is just boring to watch. Just nothing really appealing about how we play in either end.

I don’t see this current incarnation as better than last season but it’s a very long season. They can turn it around but the chemistry and culture feels different. Defensively they are terrible because KAT provides zero rim protection.

Poor rim protection leaves your perimeter players closer to the paint, which leads to poor 3 point defense.
