Any news on Zach being traded?
How about a 5 seed? Would that be enough to make it worth it? I'm just trying to understand how good do the Bulls need to be to make tankers say it was worth it?
Right now the Bulls are 4-3 in games where Zach has played. 0-3 when he hasn't.

I'd be surprised if the Bulls ended up the 5th seed and if that happens I still think they don't go far in the playoffs.
I think the Bulls need to use this year to develop players like Matas and build towards the future. The 2025 pick could help with that, especially since the Bulls have no player with the potential to be a franchise player.
Continuing to be a team that just misses the playoffs, or gets into the play-in, is pointless. They've already done that for a few years.
A 3 seed? Title or bust?
I'm really pleased that they are 4-3 when Zach is healthy and still figuring out a new system. If they had a coach who would actually have tried to do something to address the q1 issues they would likely be 5-2 in those games. Granted, they weren't playing the Cavs and Celtics.
Personally though, I would love to watch an over .500 team and a first round playoff series for a change. That's not a prediction byv the way. Just a preference.
Would you like .500 ball and first round exits for the next several years? Without a future or way of improving going forward?
Because that's what this team has basically been for the last 3 years.

Why would you bet against your own team? I wouldn’t be able to do that.

I think we are a 6-8 seed if healthy. Don’t think we will be healthy. Giddey and Pat are still rounding into game shape. Others will lose their legs with this pace as the season goes on.
Billy is clearly coaching to develop and competitively lose. His 4th quarter lineup against the Wolves was left in to enforce the loss. DT would not be playing if they were looking to win.

I would like it better than 3 years of being horrible and then a 2nd round exit. We are all only going to live so long.

What are the Bulls developing with Terry? Has he shown anything to think that he'll be a good rotation player down the road (or soon)?

He still struggles with that left hand, and has a ways to go as a shooter, but he's a great complimentary piece for any team. Great disruptive defender with high IQ on the offensive side. Liked him in the draft, but knew he would take some time to become playable.

If the front office rebuilds we have no idea if they'll be a "2nd round exit" in three years, but there's a chance that they become a competitive team. Right now the Bulls are a low seed or play-in team and probably another 39 or 40 wins (which is what they had the past two seasons). Why continue doing that year to year?
You enjoy watching play-in games?

Losing as much as they can isn't going to change any of that for several seasons.
