If we were a worse team, he'd still be playing nightly right now and having up and down moments. But we need to win and stay afloat, so I completely understand coach going with age and experience over him.

Meanwhile, it's good to see Cole Anthony play well. I like how he was laying out for loose balls in the last game. I still contend that a productive Cole Anthony off the bench is important for us.
agree with this on Jett.

Jett’s disaster on his last game simply comes from inexperience. AB made the same mistakes last year too.

Jett will be fine. The guy can shoot. Teams will pick him up for that skill alone.

The thing with Jett though, he is pegged on a pedestal because we passed up a lot of other players for him. So the pick alone is already full of critics, what more when he is struggling.

A Cole revival would be major.

Cool. But there needs to be discussion beyond "Goga is better" because that's all debates devolve to on this forum. Same thing with AB/Suggs discussions. No, one is not making the other tradable. They both clearly have places on the team.

A healthy WCJ and Goga in the rotation is even better. I do not trust Moe in high stakes games because of his defense and his offense punishes bad defenses but is less good against better teams. So yeah, just having healthy bigs able to play is helpful.
Yeah, that's fair. Both should be in the rotation

Yeah.... our depth is part of what makes us so tough. as the season goes on.... Players will consider to develop and get in their grooves. Confidence in one another's games and in one another is going to allow us to become a true threat. and yup.... i love moe... but unless he is playing at a high offensive rate and efficiency...it's hard to outweigh his lack of defense outside of the charges he takes. Goga is just such a consistent individual. great on defense and makes the right plays on the offensive end as well.

yeah.... we're going to have options as we start hitting our stride and hopefully return to full health.

We need as much offense as possible that’s why WCJ and Moe are ahead Goga. Defense is already a strength.

Do we just ignore Goga’s 6 offensive rebounds tonight? Dude brings plenty of offense and a lot more defense than Moe.

if only whole league is as incompetent as Wizards

Wizards losing margin is 20,3 points a game

We did our job. Somebody would have to put gun on my head to force me to watch Wizards again this year. This isn't even college level. GM that puts Bagley, Kuzma and Poole on some roster deserves introduction to Hall of Shame.

Box score thoughts:

Orlando LOST the FG% battle yet blew out the Wiz. How?

The Magic dominated FGA via a huge differential in offensive rebounds (+8) as well as the TO-differential battle.

The Magic missed 50 FGAs yet still finished with 8 more FGM. Wild. Add to that outstanding FTM rate, this was a good win.

I love how Bitadze could hold Sarr's arm off to get a one-handed dunk. It was the no-foul foul. (how can it be a foul as he was not "over the back" but how can it not be a foul? He was literally holding his arm).

COnclusion: a really, really smart play!

And this.... Is a fact. HE himself doesn't score much at all .. but sometimes you look at players offensive ratings.... And they are super high.... Because ... They do things like offensive rebounds... And keep the ball moving to where it's supposed to go. And he definitely does those things.... While getting you an efficient 8-12 points.

Last season the offense was actually better when Goga played compared to Wendell's minutes, mostly due to Goga's dominant offensive rebounding.

But if it was up to me, both would be in the rotation and I would take Moe out of it. He chucks way too many threes despite being bad at shooting them and is poor defensively. And sure, he can score inside very well and will quickly rack up points against bad defenses, but I feel that overall Goga and Wendell are better.

Anyway, nice win, but you can't read too much into it because the Wizards are bad and shamelessly tanking from early on.

Both AB and Moe in the quadrant of wow. Suggs really struggled.

If I read this graphic correctly, M-Wagner was Orlando's second best defender. That makes me smile.

Jalen needs to get his head out of his ass. He hasn't been very good since Paolo went down.
