The Mavs still have the weakest roster of any contending team—if we even stretch to consider them one.

Luka and Kyrie might be the worst “best” duo ever. They have zero chemistry, zero organization, and rely solely on isolation plays, depending on whichever player has the hotter hand. That’s just the offensive side; defensively, they’re almost nonexistent.

Their third option is one of the streakiest players in the league—the type who goes 6/11 against scrubs and 0/10 against strong ones.

Gafford and Lively bring energy and strength, but they’re the exact type of players Jokic loves to pick apart. And not just him—AD, Sabonis, Nurkic, Sengun—half the Western Conference centers will have a field day against them.

Last season, they could realistically only beat three teams in the West, and it just so happened they matched up against them. It was one of the luckiest runs ever—not happening again.

This year, their best-case scenario is beating the Wolves, Clippers, and maybe swapping OKC with the Warriors. They’re not getting that lucky draw again.

They're going through the same thing we went. Had a good start to the season and came back to earth. Good riddance. Thank you Leon for OG!

yeah, it's time to panic about the the 20 yr old second year player :noway:

I generally go against what the NBA is trying to force feed me out there. I don't see what everyone else is by large seeing (future of the league, rings all over the place, MVPs, etc.). Think he'll get a DPOY, but his offense is too tween.

How old were mj and bron when they won their first ring?

A more appropriate question is how old was MJ when he played his first playoff game (22)? How old was MJ when he won is first playoff series (25)? I wouldn't even dare compare those 2 to him. I rather compare him to Reggie Miller.

Unlike LeBron and MJ, Victor isn't going to have the career anything close to those 2. No body is going to convince me that a 7 foot center/guard shooting a measly 42/28 is going to be significantly better down the road and dominant the league in due time. With MJ and LeBron, their numbers were consistent right from the gate. By that observation, these numbers are going to be Wemby's career numbers. Give or take.

Shame. Don't know what happened there. Lost of confidence? Thibs system really gets people to play to their potential? Damn shame. I was such a pro-Grimes guy. Still hope he turns it around, but he hasn't looked like a pro level in Detroit or Dallas.

I-Hart, now him. I'll be honest, I'm viewing this as krama for breaking up the core with I-Shart's contract.

I’d send Payne and a 2nd for Grimes (or try to get him after a buy out).

Imagine if the Nets trade the Knicks picks they got for Mikal to acquire Giannis.

Swapping Mikal for Giannis is CRAZY.

That would be the biggest fumble by the Knicks. All these years they said we been waiting on that big fish and blew our load so our rivals can get him. Nasty work if that happens

So that they can be a fringe playoff team with now no assets? I guess if that’s what they want lol.

They also have the Suns picks to make moves and build around Giannis. They have a bunch of assets.

Return to New York Knicks
