that's not realistic unfortunately. no way he pulls a 1st.

That's not a first for Schroder, it's a first for Schroder PLUS dumping off a year of Cole Anthony's contract. Not saying a good first, but one in the 20s sounds about fair. And yes, despite what some Magic fans may say, undersized and inefficient shooting guards aren't a hot commodity.

Finally a reasonable intelligent post!

right. the Raps gave him away for nothing last year, yet this year he can net a 1st round pick despite being an expiring contract somehow. if the price to dump Cole Anthony is a 1st, then that should be an easy pass. I wouldn't hold my breath on that 1st for Dennis if I were the Nets.

It would be, if one year of Cole was viewed as a pretty heavy negative.

A second for Schroeder with a solid replacement that is younger is more than fair. If the Nets don't want Anthony:s second year, they could flip him for an expiring pretty easily. Hell, take PJ Tucker for it.

But to be expecting a first rounder for Schroeder, with a decent young guy...that's going too far the other way.

I am unsure if BK is going to trade Schroeder for less. They would keep him most likely.

I think they will trade CamJo to a team that really needs him and they might end up keeping DFS and DS for the rookies and young guys next season.

Probably best strategy.

No team is going to trust Schroder would play like he is on Nets on their team. Just not going to get positive value at this point in his career.

Not saying that the Nets are going to get a first for him but his value is clearly higher right now than it was last year when he was on Raps. He's in all star form right now putting up 20 PPG & 6.6 APG on 62.8% TS% & Net rating of +15.3, while being the leader of this mostly young Nets group. Obviously the all star form won't last but the point is still that he's playing at a very high level with great intangibles. He's a great fit for this Magic team due to German NT connection and the fact that they could use an actual PG & a vet.

He's done this before, many times, and always comes down to Earth. He's 31, the league knows him well. He'll probably get a few SRPs, unless they take back bad money, in which case they can get a first.

Not sure what you're reacting to? I said the form won't last, thanks for not reading the post properly.
