Dev very pretty 3.
I was just about to criticize Johnon for not calling a timeout as our 14 point lead dropped to 8 but Dev saved him.

3RD Q: SPURS 84 KINGS 71
Build. That. Lead. Spurs!
Scoring well, moving well, we have to keep pushing it in transition and wear them down.

Yeah can we bring back our best player already?! Don't want to flirt with giving the opponent the second wind of hope...

Re: SPURS GAME DAY! GAME 11: SPURS VS. KINGS, 11-11-2024, 7PM (CT)
4TH Q: SPURS 116 KINGS 96
We faced a tired team and I don't care. Nobody qualified their wins versus us when we've been in that situation. It counts all the same, and they made us earn it, especially in the first half, and kept fighting well into the 4TH.
It was a nice bounce back game, even if I don't like the over-reliance on 3s. Johnson seems fine with nearly half our shots coming from beyond the arc but I hope when Pop returns that we have a better scoring balance. I get that when a shot is hot and open we take what's given and created, but we can't also settle into moving and tripping on 3s.
But I thought our 40% first half from the arc wasn't sustainable and we went and finished with a whopping 47.8% from 3. SWISH! Still, balance. To that end, we did push it well in transition getting 21 fast break points.
TOs were still a problem as we had another 16 which cost us a poor 26 points but some games you can make up for it. Just don't want to trade mistakes and for a shootout. Rather we continue the hot touch and protect the ball better.
End of Q details were better, as we finished each of the last three Qs on a good run.
We shared the ball very well - 31 assists led by CP3's 11 to go along with his efficient 12 points. Also had 6 boards.
Wemby looks to have found his range. A stellar 34 points on impressive 13-22, 6-12 from 3, 2-2FTs, another team high 14 boards (4 on O) 6 assists, 1 steal, 3 blocks. Crazy good.
All five starters scored in double figures and chipped in across the board. Caslt fit right in, looking like he belongs. It was interesting listening to the Kinds broadcast to hear their impressions of our players, and they praised Castle for his poist and aggression and advanced moves at the rim. He has a very big center of gravity and is hard to move. It's an added strength in addition to his muscular frame that he uses well on both ends.
Happy for Barnes that he bested his old team and that Julian defeated his doppelganger.
Dev led the bench with 12 and a bench high 4 assists. He doesn't get the dishing and vision credit he deserves. LOVE his game. It opens up space for us, gives us another attacker and scorer, high BBIQ, three level threat as well as a D stalwart. We've missed him. Just need to get Sochan and Pop back to unleash our full effect.
Mamu showed out well and Keldon was his energetic self.
We showed out well taking a game we should have and did. We fraenkly could have had a winning record by now had we done just this in the previous game as we ought to have, but we responded well. We do need to solidify it with more consistent play. Good W.
Let's rest up and keep up the fighting spirit and better team play.

Wemby's rim protection rates out to be best in the league by Bball Index. Ok, let's go if he can challenge Gobert, Draymond, etc. defensively... worth a debate to see if Wemby can challenge the big guys.
Congrats to Vassell for making it back... looks badass and ready to score.
