AB already 3rd in sweater vest points. Impacting winning like a boss. How soon before he's starting?

Enough with the vest points thing. Fan voting where it's a clear popularity contest is not exactly scientific

It is a tangible stat for calculating win % and impact %.
It's a number we can associate with the eye test. The only issue is vest points doesn't scale to the entire NBA.
Note to self AI vest point projection calculator to chat GPT.

Shooting took a hit. This is kinda expected in the ups and downs as we now see him develop his offensive game and work outside his comfort zone. Teams are actually closing in on him on the 3-ball instead of daring him to shoot it feels like.

The Hornets dared to shoot from 3 very blatantly last night and he couldn't make them pay. In the earlier games it wasn't so blatant but the vast majority of his 3s this season (26 out of 29 total attempts) have been wide open.
He is improved a lot in other aspects of the game and it's good to see him being more willing to take 3s, especially off the dribble, but the percentage needs to get better, otherwise more and more teams will just sag off him blatantly as Charlotte did.

Remember eyriq when I noticed that Isaac and Black seem to be standing next to each other in a lot of pictures?

Team Stats over Last 4 Games (IND, NOP, WAS, CHA)
These games have been a welcome reprieve from facing a road trip of the league’s best. We’ve been facing some injury depleted and bad defensive teams and it’s helped guys find form. Notable:
AB is 4th on the team in scoring behind Franz, Moe and Suggs with 10ppg. His efficiency is good if not for his bad 3pt shooting at Indy and Charlotte. He’s also 4th on the team in FTAs at 3.5 per game, whilst ranking 2nd in assists and blocks.
Hopefully he keeps the momentum of confidence going as the competition improves.

Re: AB the PG development thread
He gets in his own head really easily, but he compensates with some insane defensive intensity. He barely missed his first few threes and then started hesitating as they started sagging off and his shot got worse... but dayuum if he didn't punish them for it on the defensive end immediately. He takes it personally and is super competitive. Love to see it.Bensational wrote:Team Stats over Last 4 Games (IND, NOP, WAS, CHA)

Yeah, I'm not too bothered by the 3's because at least he's willing to take the shots, and being wide open they are good looks. I think him getting more confidence in his shooting over the next couple of summers will make a big difference for him. I keep thinking about that transition pull up 3 he made against Washington and how natural it looked for him, and just drooling over the idea of that being a regular part of his game.
