What weird timing for this post. Kornet got 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal, all in just 4 minutes. Aside from White he was maybe the most efficient Celtic tonight.

That’s his schtick. To hate on Useless bum Kornet. Did the same with useless bum Baynes.

Meh. Its a loss.

Team is definately trying new things at time. Im ok with that. Im more interested in games 62-82 and playoffs than a random game in November.

Sometimes seems like our players are literally going backwards to get behind the line, which I’m not really for that. The team that attacks with force has the basketball gods on its side.

Tatum is taking more 3s this year by a considerable amount. Last year he took 8.2 attempts. This year it’s 11.6. He never took that many . Dude needs to stop that.

From the pattern of how JT goes about his business, you might as well tell him to take more 3s because he will do the opposite of what Celtic fans want.

Celts were 15-5 after 20 games last season.

If they go 15-5 or 16-4 this season then that's very good.

I went to the game and I want my money back.

Where to even start with this? They got absolutely slammed on the boards, especially offensively. Atlanta had like 70 points in the paint and there was zero rim protection.

Tatum didn’t play well and as well as Brown played he ended up costing them the game with his last four free throws.

Regardless zero excuses why this game was even remotely close never mind a big fat loss

Losing another close home game is concerning. We need better crunch time execution.

Both games Cs lost because of failing to get the rebound.

The Cs scored when they needed to, so execution was not the main problem.

Against GSW, Looney's 2 offensive rebounds in the last 2 minutes of the game doomed the Cs.

In this game, the Cs forced the Hawks to miss, but they allowed Okongwu to tip-in the miss.

A healthy KP will really help in the rebounding department.

Al Horford is just not that guy, in the paint, anymore.

They scored when they needed to? They missed two critical shots with under a minute to play tonight.

Of course the defense would be better, but that was literally the most points Dyson Daniels ever scored in a game. The fact we scored over 110 points without Trae (and other key players) is an early Christmas miracle.

White's shot making has become Steph-like at times. Obviously, he'll never match his consistency/aggression but it's incredible to see compared to where he was when joined the C's in Feb '22.

I give Tatum a pass because of the ankle but that was a sad effort in the 4th. He should have pulled himself or Mazzulla should have. He was clearly laboring.

JB was incredible at times but the basic things like hitting fts seem like they will always be his bugaboo lol

That’s the beauty of actually winning a championship lol if this was last year I’d be fuming and tearing Mazzula a new ass. This year who cares. As long as they are healthy and make the playoffs it’s whatever.

It does suck though that they already have dropped two at home. Got to take these home ones a little bit more serious.

Just because Joe won a title doesn't mean I'm going to give him a pass for the team playing like ****.

He already left one title out there in 23.

They're paying Holiday $30M to take 5 shots. They just don't involve him in the offense. Horford not getting many looks, I understand. But Holiday is more than a defensive specialist and utility guy. Three guys took 15+ shots (another L w/ JB taking more than 20) and everyone else playing for scraps.

I guess there should've been more shot attempts for everyone if they didn't turn the ball over so much (same three guys with all the FGAs had the TOs) and didn't give up all those boards.

Not too upset but they need to start playing better. Not having KP shouldn't be an excuse for this type of losses. It was another game where the other team played harder, point blank and played more cohesive ball.

Whats most bothersome so far is that they arent playing much defense. The TOs were bad, too.
I kinda do udnerstand it though. I mean they did play really hard last year. Maybe they are taking it easy for now and will do much better as the season goes on.
Good assessment:

This loss was embarrassing. Period. This a loss that the Marcus Smart Celtics took quite a bit.
