No way they just left. After all the suffering they posted through they can't leave when we have a playoff level title contending team. What makes you think they left? I have not been posting much the last two weeks. Did I miss something?

Team Villain ended up going out like Cobra Commander.

sham "left" when we didn't get Donovan, and he left now because he wants to spend the games criticizing KAT for being a center, while the guy he rides for is always hurt which makes his arguments pointless. Basically, he took his ball and left, weak move.

Weak sauce for sure if true. I didn't like the trade but, I get why they did it. Hoping it works out for the better. KAT is a better player than Julius so, we should be fine. Things will take time and we have a few players missing due to injury. I am here for it. I can't imagine leaving the board after all the years of misery they posted through.

Maybe they are both under investigation for the Diddy parties. They supplied the victims? :o

Can’t really blame NBA fans for losing some interest though. The games are kind of mediocre and the shift to betting takes some fun out of it.

…. We here still like it —the real fans — but the NBA audience has been gradually declining year by year.

Since they “left”, I’ve seen less hostility, more thoughtful discussions about the team and less player favoritism. There are several old time lurkers who’ve also come out of the woodworks.

Don’t get me wrong, some of that ish was hilarious, but having 18 pages of it in post games was a bit much.

It’s cause of all the threes. Too much chucking of 3’s and taking away what the defense can do has made fans genuinely bored by just watching opposing teams run up and down, shoot, then miss, rinse and repeat.

Maybe I need to rewatch the game but from what I can recall Mikal was on Paul George most of the night. That seemed Lillie a mismatch to me. I thought Josh should’ve been on PG instead. Thoughts?

The Knicks have the 2nd best offensive rating but fans think it's bad, because not enough threes I guess. We are conditioned to want more threes a game and a fast pace.

2nd best offensive rating because we’re making 2’s efficiently. I mean they read a stat last game that said Hart is shooting 75% on 2’s and leading the league lol

The issue is if a team is shooting the 3 well we are going to lose the game if we’re just sticking with our 2’s. 40% from 3 is better than 55% from 2. And the top threats in the east have a lot of 3 point hunting teams and we tend to give up a lot of open 3’s due to our defensive schemes.

It’s a recipe for disaster eventually unless we are going to rely on Boston, Indy, etc to have 4 bad shooting games in a series. We have to ramp up our attempts and makes for sure

Bridges finally with the type of help defense he was capable of doing. While he was brought in as a 3rd option, OG's offensive emergance the last few games might be the best thing for this team.

ctorres wrote:Probably a discussion for another thread, but the race to the all-star game is looking really interesting to me

Knicks have 4 guys playing at all-star level

Brunson is averaging 24 and 6 on 47/39/84 shooting splits
Towns is averaging 25 and 12 on 52/41/87 shooting splits

Last 9 games, you got Hart averaging a ridiculous 14/10/6 on 58/31/90 shooting splits

Last 6 games, you got OG averaging 20/5/3 (and 1.7 spg) on 52/49/88 shooting splits

However, I'm looking around the Eastern Conference and at least 12 Eastern Conference teams have guys putting up all-star numbers

Cleveland has 4 allstars in Mitchell, Garland, Mobley, and Allen

Boston has 3 in Tatum, Brown, and White

Even Indiana. You got Siakam, Turner, and even Mathurin all putting up better numbers than Haliburton

Orlando has Banchero out, but Franz Wagner might be deserving

Brooklyn not only has Cam Thomas, but Dennis Schroder out of nowhere is having the best year of his career

Detroit has both Cade Cunningham and even Jaden Ivey playing at a very high level (also turning the ball over a lot)

Atlanta has Trae Young, and out of nowhere Jalen Johnson averaging 19/10/5 (never heard of him). Even Dyson Daniels is averaging an insane 3.3 spg (also never heard of this guy)

Tyler Hero is averaging 23/5/5 so he might actually be an all-star for Miami this year. Jimmy and Bam aren't having good seasons by their standards

Vucevic is having the best season of his life in Chicago, and LaVine is back too

Milwaukee at their worst still has Giannis and Dame

Maxey is out and Philly has sucked, but he's still an all-star

It’ll be tough because for whatever reason NY doesn’t vote as much as other places and our stars have less countrywide appeal. We couldn’t even get Brunson as a starter last season when he was having a crazy year and dame was stinking it up

Sixers were up for this game...besides- if we only played 6 players - we lose just like in Indy  I definitely count this one.

The fact that they were up only means we are capable of losing to a 2-7 team. These are games we should be dominating and we’re just, not.

Depends on the opponent. I didn’t trip when we lost our first game to Boston. It bothered me the way we lost, but first game, trophy night, against the reigning champs? That rolled right off. But losing to the Hawks and Pacers and Rockets after the moves were made and coming off the quality of team we had last year? Not a good look. So yeah, if we lose to the Bulls I’ll be upset, because we’re supposed to be contenders and they’re…. Not.

41 mins from OG is a terrorist act... we need to keep him under 32 min and only in the playoffs we can play him at 38 max 40 mins...losing Randle and Toppin left us without PF and he needs to fill that void too

I’m with you too. Last night was a good win but I’m not satisfied. We have a long way to go still.
