The Boston Red Sox are among the clubs showing interest in Nathan Eovaldi in free agency.
Eovaldi hit the open market after declining his $20 million player option with the Texas Rangers. He has also been connected to the Atlanta Braves.
The right-hander spent five seasons with the Red Sox, totaling 461 2/3 innings of 4.05 ERA ball. He had a fantastic postseason in 2018 to help Boston win the World Series.
